The Highlands golf course is one of three courses owned and operated by Meadows Country Club. In addition to the Highlands and Meadows Courses, there is also the Arthur Hills-designed Groves Course, an 18-hole executive course. The Highlands Course has an "old Florida" layout equipped with plenty of trees and water that tumble across gentle hills. You'll be playing through majestic oaks and towering pines as you take on this challenging-but-fair test. Narrow, tree-lined fairways and small greens demand accuracy but generously the reward well placed shot. The golf course finishes with a tricky par 4. Your tee shot will to be straight and accurate to avoid the fairway bunkers on the left and right, positioning you for a mid iron back into a green that sloped front-to-back and guarded by bunkers on both sides. There is also a lake to the front left.

Fair condition
Most greens had bare spots and small divots that messed up the roll of the ball. Fairways had bad areas and the rough was thin. Could be a nice course if it was given good care. No yardage markers or pin placement indicators. GPS was nice.
Challenging
Nice layout and fair course but most greens need some work.
Fun Layout but Greens in need of some work
Played here many times in the past 30 years, this was the poorest i have ever seen the greens. Not sure what happened to them but numerous places on individual greens where there were bare spots. Some showed signs of re-sodding so you know it had to be bad.
after the round we stopped at Centre Court and another group beside us was discussing the same topic..
Do not want to knock the Greenskeeper's, as I have seen fungus and other issues happen at really expensive courses as well. Just don't want others to expect perfect greens.
Greens
Front nine greens terrible. Back nine much better, though still not great.
The worst
The terrible greens were only outdone by how rude and unprofessional the rangers and staff were.
Front 9 is horrific
I’ve been playing here for 20 years and the front 9 greens are currently in the worst shape I have ever seen. This is not worth $70 let alone $30 in its current condition. You’ve been warned
Excellent Course that Keeps Improving
The course was in exceptional shape. Greens were great , fairways and rough in good shape. Staff is there to help and they value players. Give them an A on this report card.
Getting better
Had played the course two weeks ago. The greens are much improved with only 2 or 3 having many bare spots. The speed of the greens was also improved. I would play it again.
Course conditions
Front 9 very poor conditions of fairway and greens.
