Designed by Arthur Hills, the Groves Golf Course may be a "short" course but it's still a challenge. It's one of three courses operated by Meadows Country Club. With a layout that sprawls across more than 50 acres, the par-63 layout feels more like a championship par-72 course. The layout is comprised of nine par 4s, eight par 3s, and one par 5. The course rewards accuracy and good shot placement, meaning it's not strength that matters but being able to strategize. The seventh hole is a memorable par 3 that appears simple enough thanks to a massive and seemingly inviting green, but the problem isn't hitting the green but getting your shot on the same level as the pin. There is a 5-foot slope that runs through the green, the severity of which is matched only by some of the greens at Augusta National.

For an executive course it was one of the best I have played!
Groves Golf Course
Purchased Hot Deal for 11:30 am tee-off.
Showed up at approx. 10:20 am due to course not being busy.
Was told I could NOT tee off until 11:30 am even though there was only 2 ea. (groups - 1 ea. foursome and 1 ea. twosome teeing off between 10:20 am and 11:30 am.)
Note: I played this course approx. 2 mos. ago and starting early upon availability was NOT an issue.
I understand if there were tee times booked prior to my tee time but this was NOT the case here.
Not very customer friendly.
Course conditions were slowly getting better - greens were in good shape - however, tee boxes and fairways need care!
Groves
Showed up at approx. 10:15 am for my scheduled 11:30 am tee time.
Was advised even though there were very few booked tee times between 10:15 - 11:30 am I could not start my round until 11:30 am.
2 ea. foursomes showed up between 10:15 am and 11:30 am.
Difficult to understand the reasoning on why NOT trying to accommodate a customer when the course tee times were available earlier.
Played this course approx. 2 mos. ago and playing earlier when available was NOT an issue.
Regarding the course playing conditions - greens were in very good shape!
Some tee boxes and fairways need some maintenance (several bare spots).
Good value from the money paid to play!
Beautiful Course in a Quiet Setting
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this short course in a beautiful wooded setting rich with wildlife from birds, to turtles and even a small alligator!
Don’t be fooled because you can get cool !
Great course and the greens are rolling fast
The course is shorter than you used to but the blinds water hazards will got your score up for sure

Nice Executive Course
Nice executive course. Includes water features and variety of terrain that makes it interesting.
Great layout for an executive course
Very interesting and challenging short holes, greens were in great shape and well protected, so accuracy in approaches was needed, elevated greens so chipping was also a nice challenge. The natural setting was a highlight, really pretty settings. We played the back nine first and when we got to the front nine, it was very backed up, gave up and drove in for the last 3 holes.

At 4200 yds from the tips it is still a challenge.
A strategic layout that severely penalizes poorly struck shots. Fun course. I recommend iit for the value.
great greens
Greens were good but not a level place anywhere, and in very good condition.
The tees were terrible.
