Course was extremely dry
I feel like this course just needs some water, the greens were in good shape but the fairways were bone dry
Didn't realize it was part 29 on the back side but all holes were fun to play. And we got around in 3 hours
First 9 were bearable. The 2nd 9 holes were horrible. We left without finishing course and we never do that.
Back 9 is a Par 3 Course
The range is amazing as you practice onto floating greens in the middle of a pond. The front side was tight but fun as you weave in and out of the housing. The back side was literally laid out over 1000 yards with 7 of the holes short iron par 3's.
Nice Pictures, Not Reality
I believe this was not a well spent $38.55. First, the GolfNow total due at course was $34.50, yet I was charged more. Secondly, the GolfNow included notes from the course saying that it included practice balls and meal, non of which I was given. The course also was in sub par condition with mutilated tee boxes. Golf carts were supposed to have GPS and did not. After the 10th hole I decided to try out the water range. After 15 minutes of looking at instructions to get the golf balls out of the machine and inserting my card, nothing happened. Very poor overall, will not be coming back. Nice speed of play and stuff, but way overpriced and conditions were terrible.
The Palms
A very tight little course , especially the back 9. The fairways were very hard and tough to hit off but the greens were in great shape and played fast. We were lucky to play with a member who helped instruct us on how to play each hole and guide us around the course which was a bit confusing .Bring extra balls if your not a good player. Overall a good value for the money.
Great greens.
Unusual course with a front nine par 35 and a back nine par29. Course was not in good condition but greens were great. I would not recommend the course because I felt it was overpriced.
misleadingly difficult
The slope rating is way way to low. If your shot is slightly off the course, the rounded fairway shoulders put the ball in water most of the time.
So Rough = Water much of the time.
It will challenge you
Would never go back
The person in the pro shop who checked us in was grumpy and sarcastic. I purchased just a logo ball (the golf was already paid through golfnow)and was told they take only credit cards. I found this odd and he made it clear he was annoyed having to often explain this to people. The course is very strange with the front being about 1000 yards longer than the back. It was an interesting layout but the pace of play was very slow having to follow players who clearly knew very little about golf. We did jump over a group only to come on three players playing out of two bags. We watched one player hit 2 balls about 30 yards directly right into the woods. We thought it would be fun to play an executive course but this one not so much.
Great Course
My husband us an experienced player while I am a beginner. Course was perfect for the both of us. Will def play this course again.
1st time at the Palms
Enjoyed playing at the palms. Lots of potential. Used the Gps monitor in the cart...accurate and helpful.
Greens decent, but no grass on fairways
Did not care for the course. I knew it was short on the back, but did not expect the course to be so bare of grass in the fairways.
A fun afternoon
We booked this course last minute as we were travelling through the area. Staff were friendly and the pace of play was very good considering that the course was entirely full. The course provided a great opportunity for us to work on our short game after several months off as we reside in the snow laden North!
Well worth a visit
As a par 64 it’s a great course if you want to get around in about three hours. It requires accuracy and provides a good challenge. Course is in good condition and greens are great. Staff are fantastic and food is good making it a fun and enjoyable experience.
