Challenging little Gem
Greens were great. Fairways well kept. Short course not for the big hitters although hole 2 is a 200 yd clearance over water off the back tees. Only one par 5 about 6 par 4s the rest 3s. This is a course for accuracy. The buggy was well equipped with sat nag and lunch was included. My wife played 11 under her handicap her best round ever I played 3 under mine.
Highly recommed
The Palms at Forest Lakes is a must play!!! Course is in wonderful shape, fun to play but what really makes this course stand out is customer service from the moment you walk in till you are greeted when you finish. EXCELLENT experience!!!
Not very good
Greens & fairways are not in very good shape. Way too many par 3 holes. It got boring after a while. Limited water facilities, no ball cleaners or porta potties.
Great Value
Nice little executive course. The only downside is that the back nine is almost all par threes. It would have been nice to spread out the par fours a little more. Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Course was in pretty good shape considering the area was desperately needing some rain. We booked a hot deal from golf now and it was well worth the money. I would definitely golf this course again.
Good beginner course
Decent front nine , back nine has about 6 par 3s in a row. Skipped a few since I like to hit long.
THEY HAVE GPS !!!
Up-keep is good, the staffs are friendly and useful, few holes are not great in layout - too close to be hit by guys on other holes, and crossing the busy street isn't much a good idea. AND, the GPS IS THE GREATEST OF ALL !!!
Approaching Greatness
You can see the effort in the practice areas, the golf cars with large touch screen GPS, the annual memberships, the events, and the extra staff. The course is shorter than full size but longer than most executive courses - good compromise. There is a premium on accuracy and the greens are tough. The course doesn't have a rating or slope, so your score won't help or hurt your index. I'd like to see them add that.
Friendly Golf
This course is really fun to play. It is not extremely long but shots need to be accurate. The greens and tees are very good, The fairways were hard and dry, but what course in Sarasota this winter isn't. I applaud the effort to upgrade this course. It has a range and practice area. This is the third time that I've played this course this winter. This time there was an unexpected treat. The course is added a touchscreen GPS, which is usually only seen at private clubs. All in all this course is a great value for your money.
Short and tight.
Excellent staff. Friendly players. Very narrow fairways making for accurate play a necessity. I will return and recommend this course
Starter Course -very dry
Course is not in great shape! Very dry and the back nine is almost all par 3's. All of the ponds are dry or almost dried up.
For the price there are better options.

Enjoyed playing there!, came back for a 3rd time nice people if you looking for a fun shorter course.
Fun for the money
Great course for tuning up your game. All of the staff was helpful and friendly. Free range balls, meal and beverages was a great way to start and end the round.

Great Value
Four friends and I bought memberships this winter and have played about 50 rounds. The course is in excellent condition even though there has been almost no rain this winter. The greens are quick but they hold good. The owners and staff are as good as it gets, very friendly and helpful. If you are in or near Sarasota you should give the course a try.
Poor design & lots of bare fairways
First of all great food! After that it's all downhill. Lots of bare fairways, only saw one water jug on front 9 and one on back 9. Come on, it's Florida and in the 80's!! Worst of all a number of tees are VERY close to last green with no protection for players teeing off. Really? No trees, bushes or nets. Free breakfast sandwich and drink in morning and hotdogs or brats with chips and beer or soda in afternoon, but this still does NOT raise the value for price paid. Sorry, but your redesign in 2015 missed !!!! Many more courses in the area with better conditions and value. Would never recommend or play again.

I believe you may have come out right after our Aerification and if you came out now your impression of the conditions would be totally different. We do have ball washers on the course and a Portable Toilet to the north side of #3 green.
