Hidden Gem
I read a review recently that called Native Oaks a hidden gem and I couldn’t agree more. We drove down from Corona to play and it was well worth the trip. The course is beautiful and In fantastic condition. The staff is one of the friendliest in Southern California.
Hidden gem
First time playing here and was very impressed with the layout and conditions. The greens had been punched two weeks prior but we couldn’t tell. The course was undergoing its annual overseeding which made the fairways pretty thick and the roughly very difficult. We knew about the maintenance in advance that’s to GolfNow and the actual course calling a few days prior to our tee time which was a great show of service. Many of the holes were absolutely picturesque with large mountain backdrops and well utilized elevation changes Overall, my buddy and I were very impressed and will be back in November to take full advantage of the finished course conditions.
Awesome layout, two distinctly different 9's
Had a great time shooting down from LA to play this course this past weekend. They are just about to start renovations/overseeding so the fairways were definitely a bit thin but you can tell that on their best day this course is sensational.
The course calls for every shot. We played from the Tips which created some intimidating tee shots for sure (and made most of the par 5s nearly unreachable in 2) but the greens were in great shape.
The two 9's were designed by different architects so it definitely feels like you're playing two different courses which was interesting. I'm excited to come back and play it now knowing what shots you need to hit at certain parts but the GPS in the cart was super helpful for a lot of that. The grass range is a good perk and the clubhouse meal and drinks are better than they need to be.
Shout out to Steve and The Gray Area.
Great Experience
The front 9 is a blast but pretty difficult for me. The back 9 was a bit easier and was just as fun. Great course and worth playing if your in the area. The staff was great and our foursome really enjoyed the experience. We had a later tee time so the rate was excellent. Course is in great shape for the end of season. I would definitely play again.
Great course, unaccommodating staff
Course is gorgeous. Very challenging front but the back 9 is where you make your score. Unfortunately, we were not informed there was a junior golf tournament on the same day, so after the front 9, we were initially told we could only play the front 9 again (the tournament had a rain delay, so the juniors were given priority. Staff was guarding the entrance to hole 10 and the pro shop told us they could only give us a credit for 9 holes and they were sorry about the round. We’re not from the area, which made it frustrating, and after pleading that we’re willing to play after the last junior group, only then were we allowed to play the back, which oddly wasn’t an option to begin with. Otherwise, solid course, great fairways and greens. Tough 18th hole.
