Native Oaks Golf Club

The best course we golfed on our California vacation. The course is in excellent condition and the staff were great. If you haven’t played this course you should add it to your bucket list. A big shoutout to Steve the course marshal and fellow Bruin fan.

We had a nice round at Native Oaks. It would have been a great round of not for the brutal pace of play. It was slow from number two on. The Trackman range is awesome and the staff is great. We really enjoyed the scenery and the course layout was good. Would definitely come back.

Course is in excellent shape except the bunkers. Staff was took the time to explain they were renovating the bunkers which helped establish they were ground under repair.

Course is in great shape, greens are rolling well minus some slight speed inconsistencies between the greens. Only real issue I had was that the bunkers were pretty much not playable, this is the first time I have been there where this was an issue. Grass growing out of them and hard pack dirt everywhere, I will give the benefit of the doubt and just say they are doing it on purpose so they can fix them up come spring time but there is no point to playing almost any shot out of all of the bunkers right now.

Native Oaks is a nice track in good condition, but the last couple rounds we've played have been excruciatingly slow. About halfway through the front nine, things bogged down and we wait time between each shot got progressively longer to the point we doubted that we would finish before dark despite teeing off before noon both times. I'm not sure why it's happening but they need to fix the pace of play issues, especially considering the price for each round.

The staff at the pro shop, snack bar and outside crew were all exceptionally friendly. The tees, greens, fairways and rough were great. The rough was long but not too long. The sand traps need some additional attention but were still ok. It was a great experience for a great price and I recommend it to all.

I was visiting San Diego and wanted an early tee time on New Year’s Day. Many of the more heralded courses could not accommodate, so I tried Native Oaks. Let’s start with the staff. The ProShop, starter and snack bar were all incredibly pleasant and welcoming. You warm up on mats but the course has trackman at every station, pretty cool. The fairways and greens were in incredible shape.. only complaint, some bunkers needed a little care., however, not enough for me to be any less enthusiastic. It is an interesting track which requires some thought navigating around. Not long but certainly narrow with challenging hazards. Two different nines but still harmonious in design. I highly recommend

Beautiful views. Nice fairways- greens were average speed. Staff were nice guys.

The course is way over price for the condition it is in. People where right about the bunkers if you have weeds in them you can spray them to kill the weeds .The greens had had many dead spots in them needs lots of repairs made to them. Tee boxes had a lot chewed up spots in them.

This course is awesome. I drive from Chula Vista just to play this course. It's in excellent shape, tee boxes, fairways, greens, all in great shape, it's a great layout, I am a single most of time, everyone I have been paired with has been nice. I highly recommend this course. I will be back again and again.
