Better than usual
Been playing here since I was very little, the course in in better shape than it has been in several years greens were decently putt-able and fairways had just been cut, we had a fun day
An ok course, very close by
This is not the top or even the upper part of the middle of courses available, but it is very accessible for new players, so it has become my “go-to” as I’m bringing new players to a first full course.
The greens are in fairly good shape.
They serve a GREAT BLT in the clubhouse and the meal is part of the deal.
Decent
It is not the worst course in the world but in comparison to other courses in the area it is a big underdog. The biggest thing this course has going against it is the conditions. The tee boxes and greens were not in the best shape but they also were not terrible. For me the biggest issue with course conditions was the grass in the fairways. On certain wholes hitting a shot into the fairway was less productive then crushing ur drive further and hitting out of the rough because it was basically the same thing. That was the most frustrating part to me. They do have a driving range that provides a good amount of balls for cheap but again the grass on the driving range is not great either. The course layout was not bad but the conditions playing through were not prem but also definitely playable.
Afternoon delight
I really liked the course, greens were better than average for the florida heat, fairways were nice and play was steady. I was by myself, I had a foursome in front of me that wouldn’t let me play through but no big deal I had no one behind me so I just replayed a couple holes and still finished on time. It’s golf and I really enjoyed my time there.
Course is in of TLC
More weeds than grass on greens and in fairways. The layout is really fun. Just have to move your ball to get some what of a decent lie.
1st timer
First time playing this course. Overall we had a good day Golfing. Pace of play was great
No one pushing from behind. I enjoyed the layout of the holes. Negative is the greens were in poor shape. The round came with lunch and it was impressing good. Ladies made all the food on site with good quality and super friendly service.
Do not play here
Course is a mess fairways are rough. Tee boxes are mountains. This is the trailer park of golf
Good for the money
The course is fine for what you pay. If people want perfect greens and lush fairways, pay up and go somewhere else. If you want a fun, fast, and friendly round on an ok course, this is the place. The lunch deal is great.
Typical Municipal type golf course
Enjoyable to play and practice. Pace of play was very good at times as the course had many players. The greens rolled good but had a great deal of weeds mixed in. Good value overall.
Everything was sand, but then again $11.00 for a round with a cart is something I couldn’t pass up. Worth the money, but if it’s more than $25.00 I would steer clear.
Lot of potential
First time playing here. Got a great tee time deal and, after reading the recent reviews, still wanted to give it a try. This is a classic case of an older mature course in need of some TLC. The layout is fine. tee boxes were OK with some well mowed weeds. Fairways need a lot of work but at least there are not a lot of bare spots. The greens are the slowest I have ever played. About half are also very bumpy and really do impact your score. I had more three putts today than I have had on a course in the past year. On the plus side, great staff, and several very pretty holes. It genuinely looks like they are working on the course so I will definitely give it a try again and hope for some improvement. For the money, it was a very fun day
Visitors to the area
The rate was super cheap and i have to say i wish i had spent more. This was not golf course.. it was a dog track...sand traps were the best condition vs anything else on the course. Buyer beware you get what you pay for.
Good course for the price
This was my first time playing this course. Had a blast. The green were a little rough due to them doing aeration but for the price couldn’t beat it. Very open course with not a lot of water coming into play. Definitely would recommend if you’re trying to improve your game. Will definitely play again.
Lunch included!!
Nice open course. The description said it is known for its challenging par 3s; I was pleasantly surprised to find mostly par 4s. Staff were great. Price included lunch. Again, pleasantly surprised. Nothing fancy but an excellent sandwich and my husband had a great sloppy joe. Very tasty. Chips, drink, tax and gratuity included. Fairways were nice. Greens were sandy. Overall, good experience.
Mediocre Conditions
The course may have been in better shape at one time, but it is poor at this time. The tee boxes, fairway, and greens have weeds growing all over them. The greens may improve as the ground crew was working hard on them when I was playing, but they will need months to make a difference. The fairways were some of the worst I have ever seen and I play 3x a week. I was hoping that the previous reviews were just being harsh, but they are factual. I wouldn’t play here again, and I hope they can improve the course conditions because the layout provides opportunity for a great course.
Avg fairways, bad green
For the most part, the tee boxes and fairways were in decent shape. The greens were almost un-puttable. Wouldn't play this again. Spend another $10 and go play somewhere else.
Great summer deal
What a deal - carts, 18 holes, beer at the turn AND quick lunch at the end.
During Coronavirus they had many things in place to keep things safe.
The timing is a little crowded, but I'm known to feel rushed on courses so probably more of my own problem than theirs.
