Keith Hills Golf Club - Black Course

Even though I belong to a high end country club about 30 miles from Buies Creek, NC, my son and I play Keith Hills several times every year because it's a great course and a super value. It's affiliated with Campbell University and the school has a very well established PGA program. The students in that program work at the course and make it a special place.

Always enjoy playing Keith Hills. It was cart path only, because of the rain Friday, but it was very playable. Word of warning when you do play, stay on the fairway, as the Bermuda rough is tough . Greens are smooth and quick. Worth the drive for me.

I can’t say enough good things about the course. It is in excellent shape and pace of play was wonderful. I always enjoy playing at Kieth Hills. Highly recommend the course. Great value for a great course.

I enjoyed the round very much. The staff we’re friendly and the course was nice. I would play it again . I’m not a real good golfer and the course was tough but still enjoyed playing.

Course is in great shape - greens are still some of the best around. Keep fixing your ball marks!!! Starting to replace some of the cart paths. Staff is friendly, snack bar is great, and the value is there. Stay out of the rough ( Phil! ) - it is high and it is a killer.

Great course! I play this course about once a month and absolutely love it. Greet prices and the conditions were awesome. Would highly recommend this course.

Great course, great condition, very enjoyable round of golf. I have played this course many times and it is always is in great condition from fairways to greens.

Except the greens were a little slow, everything was perfect. Not even a penny spot that was missing grass in entire course. (Conditions were that good)

I play here on a pretty regular basis because I really like the course, they keep it in great shape and dollar-for-dollar it's probably the best value you'll find anywhere (I rarely ever pay more than $30 to play here and the course is seriously nice with GPS on the carts too).

That being said, the pace of play at this place is just atrocious. They use 9-minute tee time intervals and pair everyone together to make threesomes and foursomes and then send them off with no starter or no ranger. It creates a huge traffic jam and leads to 5-hour rounds consistently. Yes, slow play is a problem at courses everywhere but it seems especially to be the case here. During my most recent 5-hour round I asked a maintenance worker if there were any rangers out on the course. He said "Nope, not today." This was on a Saturday at about 1:00 in the afternoon.

I really wish they would do something -- anything -- to address the chronic problem of long rounds at this place because other than that it is a TERRIFIC golf course and a tremendous value.

First time to play this year.I did not expect this nice course condition. Greens and fairways are all good.

I love this course but today it was too wet to play, they should have closed the course. Keith Hills is a PGA Manahement School so the course conditions when dry are always good

The course was in great shape. Greens are super slow, but still had a blast. The course could use more water coolers since it was 95 degrees on my day of play.

After three solid days of rain, the course should have been closed. It was so wet in the fairway, the water was coming over my shoes. It was the worst conditions I have played in 15 years. I was very disappointed.Again, this wasn't the Keith Hills' fault but I should have stayed home. Way too frustrating.
