The Chimneys Golf Course
About
The Chimneys Golf Course features 18 holes of exceptional golf. Our signature feature is the abundance of native rock found on-site, intricately hand-laid throughout the course to accent our greens, fairways, and pedestal tees. With strict attention to detail and no homes in sight, the course plays as a par 72, just shy of 6500 yards over five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities. Combined with southern, hometown charm, The Chimneys is an experience unlike any public course in north Georgia.

Simply not worth it anymore
While it is early in the season the course is just not in good enough condition to warrant what the new management has increased the prices to. I have been playing here for 4-5 years and have noticed a decrease in course quality with a significant increase in price. Too many better local options for the money to go back.
Good Layout & Value
This course is off the beaten path, but enjoyable and a good value. Range was nice but hit off matts. The front nine is excellent and tough with interesting rock face bunkers and tees. The back nine is quite a bit shorter and less interesting. I personally would reverse the nines. It would speed up play and the course would finish stronger. Round time was 4 1/2 hours, 2:20 on the front and we waited on almost every shot on the front nine, and on every tee. There is a lot of elevation change on this course, so don’t be afraid to move up a tee, again especially the front 9. Fairways and bunkers were excellent, greens were still recovering from spring aeration and holes affected putting. Greens were a nice speed 9+ on the stimp. Amenities are simple with only snacks and drinks in the clubhouse. There was a food truck near the turn, where the food was good. Fun course and would play again.
Very nice course
Beautiful course. Challenging yet fair. Need to have precise shots. Really enjoyed it
Great Course
Beautiful course. Especially for the money. I always love playing here
Beautiful Course
Beautiful course. Very nice layout. The personnel are very courteous and professional.
It’s okay
This is generally a great track. But the prices for winter golf is way too much, in addition this course has no food. They have been saying for awhile they’re getting a food truck but nothing has yet to happen.
Good golf day w/ warm weather in March
Course in good shape, one of my favorites when I can get a deal. Tee boxes do need some work, grass thin. Maybe overseed.
I play this course 2 or 3 times a month year round. It is always in good shape they are always improving the grounds. Only problem I have is the greens are slow in the warmer weather and in the past 6 months there have been a few rounds that are SLOW. Today was one of those rounds. We skipped 3 holes and played in 3 hours and 40 minutes. I usually play with someone else and we have had to wait an average of 5 minutes per hole just to tee off. That’s not enjoyable but it does not happen too often.
Decent and worth the money
This course was well worth it, though the greens and fairways could use some work, the layout and overall quality of the course was great. I’d love to play in the summer when it would likely be in better condition. Greens were decent, fairways had tons of large divots everywhere. No grill on the course was disappointing, but the driving range was nice. We played late afternoon, and it was a terrible pace, waiting up to 15-25 mins per hole
Couldn't agree with you more. I used to play there a lot for the value but there are better courses for the same money. Also, the last few times I played there, the ball marks on the greens were ridiculous so I called one day mention it and they kind of put it off on the newer golfers. I told them the newer golfers weren't the ones leaving ball marks near the pins. Oh well...
