The Chimney delivers consistently impressive conditions with plush fairways, well-manicured rough, and excellent greens that keep golfers returning. Exceptionally welcoming staff and a thoughtfully designed layout away from surrounding development make every round memorable.

About

Holes 18
Type Public
Par 72
Length 6500 yards
Slope 127
Rating 71.4

The Chimneys Golf Course features 18 holes of exceptional golf. Our signature feature is the abundance of native rock found on-site, intricately hand-laid throughout the course to accent our greens, fairways, and pedestal tees. With strict attention to detail and no homes in sight, the course plays as a par 72, just shy of 6500 yards over five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities. Combined with southern, hometown charm, The Chimneys is an experience unlike any public course in north Georgia.

Great Course

What a fun course! Nice clubhouse, friendly staff and convenient practice amenities provide a great welcome to this hidden gem. The track is fantastic and well-maintained.

Not the easiest course to score low, but who doesn’t like a little challenge? I’m looking forward to returning during the growing season.

Always a fun course to play

My group always enjoys playing The Chimneys. It’s a fun course, not too challenging and always in good condition. My only negative is that there’s no pub or restaurant on site, only vending drinks and snacks.

Great staff and really nice layout. Wish they had kept the fairways a little longer for the winter. Tight lies can be tough on some of us higher handicappers. Greens in really nice shape.

Great time on a friday

Got matched up with two other singles and played in an easy four hours. Staff is all friendly. Love the course layout and lots of elevation changes. Greens are quick but not unfair, totally manageable and roll very true. Bunkers are in good condition. Pure golf with no houses around. Tees set up for all skill levels, tips are manageable for most mid handicaps

Pace of Play and course condition

They don’t provide sand on the carts so there are many divots on the fairway. Also it seems that no one repairs ball marks on the greens. These can be over looked though if they could fix the pace of play. There is no staff member that monitors the pace, and it is excruciatingly slow more times than not. Definitely my biggest issue with this course.

Once again.....

I have only played this course a handful of times, but each time it is great. The layout and level of difficulty are good for all levels of golfers. The greens - fast and furious in directions that you wouldn't expect. Great course and I can't wait to play again, especially when it warms up and the grass is green.

Overpriced

Booked 9 holes online for $23.00. Changed to 18 hole when I checked in. Was charged $47.00. Had i booked online it was $37.00. Way overpriced.
