About
The Chimneys Golf Course features 18 holes of exceptional golf. Our signature feature is the abundance of native rock found on-site, intricately hand-laid throughout the course to accent our greens, fairways, and pedestal tees. With strict attention to detail and no homes in sight, the course plays as a par 72, just shy of 6500 yards over five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities. Combined with southern, hometown charm, The Chimneys is an experience unlike any public course in north Georgia.

Great Greens
The greens are looking great and playing very well for this time of the year
The course was in great shape
We had a great time, pace of play was excellent for a crowded Sunday
Great Course!!
Ive lived in Georgia since 1997 and have been playing Pine Hills in Winder as my predominant course. I played Chimneys 2 weeks ago for the first time. Monumental difference in the 2 courses. The terrain relief and the quality of the greens alone has me hooked. Best value for a great golf outing that Ive had in Northeast Georgia.
Chimney golf
The only problem was not the course itself but players not fixing their pitch marks on the greens. Overall the golf was B+ and thats a rating from a Scottish visitor.
Nice layout
Nice to play without being in someone’s back yard. They have good signage to find the tee boxes as the routing is a little tricky. No sand on the carts or tee boxes so no one fills their divots or seem to repair their pitch marks on the greens. Greens were a little slow the day we played but overall a good experience, will come back when in the area again.
Great place for every skill level
I enjoy this place every time I visit.The course has several fun holes for grip it and rip it.
You could shot your lowest round ever here or just have another multi bogey round..
You won't be disappointed.
Overpriced
Like the course layout, but I believe it’s overpriced. You can play several other courses in the area with nicer amenities for less money.
No sand on the carts, so lots of divots in the fairways.
No ball washers.
No sandwiches or anything.
Slooooooooow play, and no ranger.
I repaired multiple divots on the greens also, but sadly, that seems to be the norm these days.
I’ve played here twice, but will skip it for the foreseeable future.
Great hidden gem
This course is right around the corner from me and I never knew about it! The course plays well, even in wet conditions and the staff were extremely nice. It’s a beautiful course no matter what conditions you play in. I would recommend this course to players of all levels and ages.
Beautiful Course!
This is the second time round for me and the first time to my friend. My friend mentioned this is the most beautiful course he has played so far including some private courses.
I believe this is one of the best public courses in metro Atlanta area. Great Job and Keep it up!
