The Chimney delivers consistently impressive conditions with plush fairways, well-manicured rough, and excellent greens that keep golfers returning. Exceptionally welcoming staff and a thoughtfully designed layout away from surrounding development make every round memorable.

About

Holes 18
Type Public
Par 72
Length 6500 yards
Slope 127
Rating 71.4

The Chimneys Golf Course features 18 holes of exceptional golf. Our signature feature is the abundance of native rock found on-site, intricately hand-laid throughout the course to accent our greens, fairways, and pedestal tees. With strict attention to detail and no homes in sight, the course plays as a par 72, just shy of 6500 yards over five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities. Combined with southern, hometown charm, The Chimneys is an experience unlike any public course in north Georgia.

Great course

One of my favorite courses to play. Although there's no water which makes the track easier, it's a lot of fun and well maintained for the most part

Nice course; Slow greens

The course was in a nice condition. The greens were very slow but I am chalking that up to recent aeration and sanding done a couple of weeks ago. The staff was very friendly. It could use a short game practice area. Overall, I enjoyed the course and will back.

Great course and greens

One of my favorite courses to play around the Lawrenceville area hands down. The fairway, tee boxes and greens are in great shape unlike other places in the area

Interesting Artistic Course

First time playing and onIy played the front 9, but there were plenty of challenging holes, several of which required forced carries. There are several holes that include rock formations that help shape the holes. Fairways were in great shape, but the carts did not include divot mix which seemed strange given the overall conditioning of the course. Greens were good but had a sand had a light sand top dressing that slowed most putts.

Chimneys

Played from the gold tee, can be challenging on a few holes. The greens rolled really well, recently placed sand on them so slowed up a little. Great layout, carts are good with usb charging station too. Awesome course even coming from Alpharetta, will be back!

Great Day of Golf

Pretty course. Very "playable". No homes on the course. Course was in very good shape including greens and sand traps. Very enjoyable day.

Downside: Good range but not nearly enough targets. No short game area. Small practice green with only 3 holes to putt at. No food - only chips and candy bars.

First time playing here.

I've only been playing since the end of winter this year. I've okayed less than 200 holes. I played several times at Pine Hills to get the feel of courses. I was excited to play Chimneys and was not disappointed. Gary art the front desk was awesome, informative and accommodating. The course was beautiful and fun to play. It was nicest not to be stacked up or rushed. For a little more money, I'll definetly be back.

The course is in great shape and the greens are very good. The only complaint I have is I wish they offered things to eat at the turn besides candy and potato chips. I always end up bringing a sandwich or something because they don’t offer anything like that

Loved the course

Course in excellent shape, tee to green. Excellent layout, challenging for low handicap golfer but also forgiving for the higher handicap golfer. Greens putted true. A little slower than what I was used to but still rolled well. Good pace of play. Course was full but still finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes. Will definitely play here again.

Excellent Course

Course kept very well, fairways and greens are near perfect condition. Very busy though, too many younger players in a rush to get through playing, kids these days, am I right? All in all just a good place to play golf.
