The Chimneys Golf Course
About
The Chimneys Golf Course features 18 holes of exceptional golf. Our signature feature is the abundance of native rock found on-site, intricately hand-laid throughout the course to accent our greens, fairways, and pedestal tees. With strict attention to detail and no homes in sight, the course plays as a par 72, just shy of 6500 yards over five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities. Combined with southern, hometown charm, The Chimneys is an experience unlike any public course in north Georgia.

Amazing Conditions, but Slow Greens
This was only the second time I have played The Chimneys. Last time I played was several years ago and I don’t remember the course conditions being so nice as they were today. The Tees, fairways and rough are in fantastic condition. I have played MANY, MANY more upscale, high dollar courses which did not have tee boxes, fairways and rough as nice. The quality of the conditions and the variety of holes make this a great value ($34).
The only drawback for me is that the greens were extremely slow. It looked as if the greens had not been cut in several days. They were shaggy and very slow. Other than the speed of the greens, I would say this is a fun, and awesome course to play with lots of variety. I would play much more often if I lived closer.
The stone work around the course, especially on the front nine, is beautiful. Lots of large rocks and stone work that make the hole layouts very pretty and appealing.
I highly recommend playing here.
Good day, good round & good course
Tees, fairways & greens in great shape. One of our favorite courses. You’ll not be disappointed. Would play more often if more deals were available. Suggest a foursome rate to attract more groups. Is #16 yardage for white & green tees accurate? Quite a bit of difference in the two tees.
FYI, our foursome of 60+ year olds play white tees except #’s 5, 6, & 12
Fun times! Worth the drive!
I really enjoyed my round today at The Chimney’s! Although it was a 40 minute drive, I was greeted by the very friendly staff and grounds crew as well as a well kept course with great scenery! The greens were slow but in great condition. Easier layout but fun to play! I will be back!! Thanks!
easy day
Check in fast, the starter was helpful in getting off first tee. Course in great shape for public course. Lost to many golf balls with bad shots, my problem.
Golf now not welcome
I was told the golf course does not make any money on golf now players and watch empty first tee untill my schedul;ed tee time.
Very nice course
We drove from Greenville SC
We enjoyed
Pleasantly Surprised
I have been wanting to play this course for a while. Finally got to play it and it is a great course. Fun track, lots of character, wonderful shape and always helps when you play fast. 3 hours exactly. I will be back to play it again.
Played 6/16/20
Everything from Tee to green is in great shape. Excellent lay out. No complaints. The back 9 can be gotten.
Beautiful Track
This was my first time playing since living in winder and it will be the only place I play from here on out. Course was in immaculate condition. The track was short but challenging which made for a fun round. A couple of “reachable” par 4’s and some short par 5’s that make you choose to play it safe and lay up making the hole longer or try and carry some hazards. Overall just a lovely course in very very good condition.
Solid course, great pace. I played solo, got grouped with three others, went and tee’d off five minutes early so I could be alone and never caught the group in front me. No water but other than that pretty course, no complaints, will go back.
Great course
Tough course but I played ok for me. Fun holes, pretty solid layout and pretty course. No water is the only downside. Great pace of play. I got paired with 3 ppl, was playing solo, and I just teed off 5 mins before the tee time and never ran into anyone. I’ll definitely go back
