The Chimneys Golf Course
About
The Chimneys Golf Course features 18 holes of exceptional golf. Our signature feature is the abundance of native rock found on-site, intricately hand-laid throughout the course to accent our greens, fairways, and pedestal tees. With strict attention to detail and no homes in sight, the course plays as a par 72, just shy of 6500 yards over five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities. Combined with southern, hometown charm, The Chimneys is an experience unlike any public course in north Georgia.

Fun course
Greens are always in great shape as are the fairways. $$ cost is fair. Friendly atmosphere. Go play this course.
Another Good Golf Day
One of our favorite courses. Greens in good shape, rest of course in winter season shape. Got a good deal with golfnow, will not pay regular rate. Finished in less than 4 hours. They let us go off early, different than couple weeks ago when we had a golfnow tee time at another local course & they said we had to wait on our tee time. “No early tee times with golfnow, we don’t make money with them”. Thanks Chimneys for being flexible. One other suggestion, hole #12 consider looking at yardage, still tough par 4 from green???
If you haven’t played here GO PLAY
Best course around in the Gwinnett/Barrow area!
Love this course. Fun to play, and always in good condition. The staff is friendly and helpful.
muddytues
Great course, played using cart path only due to extreme
rain. Greens were very good, fairways had much standing water. Will play again soon.
The course is going to be amazing to play once the rains stop. Today it was cold, foggy and wet.
I am very anxious to play this location again once the trees fill in and the grass returns . This was a mid-winter round at its best. Mud, no roll and cold conditions made it a tough play but I’m sure it will be better the next time that I play it . The clubhouse and snack bar attendant s were very pleasant and informative. Carts were clean and responsive. Parking and location of the course was very accessible.
Another Good Day at The Chimneys
One of our favorite courses. Course in better than average conditions for this time of year & with all the rain. GREAT deal through a golf website booking. Gary at course helped me week prior with getting refund from same website because of weather & course conditions.. Suggest looking at hole #’s 5, 6 & 12 & consider adjusting white tee locations/yardages. Because of past rains & course still wet I was going to use a pull cart since it was 90’ rule but wasn’t allowed, why?
Beautiful Day for mid winter
The course is playing really well for this time of year. A lot of effort has been put in the bunkers and greens and it shows. The fairways and teeboxes could use a little work but only because the grass is dormant and no sand provided for divot repair. All staff members are always courteous and attentive and food and drinks reasonably priced. Might be the best bang for your buck in Gwinnett!
Always love playing this course.
It was a great day for golf. It was just very wet. Not the courses fault. We have had a lot of rain lately. But it was a great day at the course.
Great course
Played early Jan, course was in good shape. Only thing I wish was added was Yardage stakes for 150 etc. They have yardage on sprinkler heads, but pain to find. Bring your range finder.
Sdc
Cart path only. They had a pretty good rain the night before, so it’s understandable. Greens are in great condition.
Great value.
Very nice greens. Good layout. Some really nice picturesque golf holes. Only negative is having to hit off mats on the driving range.
One of my favorites!
Friendly staff. Course always in good shape year around. Sometimes the greens are a little high in the summer. I was told this is to protect them from the heat due to the type of grass. I mention this but it doesn’t detract from a great course in my opinion but some of my buddies find it a little annoying. The course is absolutely beautiful in the summer! It’s not overly difficult but playing from the blue or yellow tees will give most anyone a good challenge. If you’re not in the fairway off the tee, it will definitely be a challenge to score well. A good selection of accessories in the club house. I’m a health nut so I don’t eat much club house food so can’t help you much there. The only negative for me is no bunker or chipping area. The range is fine.
