The Chimneys Golf Course

After time off for green replacement the greens have come in and roll true. Excellent job replacing them. Over the past several years the course has become one of the nicest course for the money.

One recommendation I have and mentioned to the staff, add divot repair sand bottles to the carts and divot pins to the par 3 holes. The fairways are still in great shape but folks with golf sense would sand their divots.

Beautiful course with welcoming staff. The new Sunday Bermuda greens run true. My favorite course to play in this area.

Has some nice landscaping features making it even more inviting than the average course. Except for a foursome ahead playing so slow they might as well been asleep, well worth playing.

The whole course is in great shape but Chimneys putting in the new Sunday Bermuda grass greens has really firmed them up. Even though they are only 2 months old the greens are rolling true and the rest of the course is in great condition from the tee boxes to the fairway. I always enjoyed playing this course and now with almost zero ball marks on the greens.

It had been 1.5 years since I had played Chimneys (covid time was open), I paid between $35-$47 back then, and for the value, it was very fitting. When I played it last weekend, the only changes were, switching the back/front nines, and an additional $65 per round. The added kicker is, even with the added dollars, they will still charge for small basket of practice balls.

My advice to courses like Chimneys is, be aware of what value per dollar your bringing to the mecca environment of courses in the State of GA, Chimneys is by no way comparable to other $100+ available courses in all of the state. Don't be living outside your perceived value, every area needs journeymen type courses.

I really enjoy playing this course. I have no complaints.

Management clearly doesn’t have it together at all. Before coming today I already told myself I would never go back due to the course overbooking on multiple occasions. This further solidified me never coming back. I recommend you stay away from this course!!!

Very pricey to play this course. I would expect that they at least maintain the bunkers. All in all though I like the course. I certainly would not pay rack rate though. I would look for deals.
