The good, the bad, and the ugly
Came back to visit family and wanted to go out and play a round. I used to be a member back in the day, and was expecting the same attributes as the past. Man, was I wrong. I like how the course is allowing golfers on the course through golf now, but I feel it’s hurting the course more than it’s helping. 1st off, the greens were in horrible condition. Ball marks are not being fixed and majority of greens have not been watered or have been cut too short. Could have been a fungus. The fairways were in good shape. I live in Vegas so the fairways are super tight, it was good to hit off a little grass. Secondly, the golf cart paths are in total disarray. Pot holes like you’re driving on I-20 everywhere. Last, but not least, all the flags were the same color. I wouldn’t have minded if I had a tee sheet with pin locations. Most courses have different color flags to designate location on the green. Very frustrating to get a proper yardage from the fairway.
Great course!
Awesome course! Greens were good and they aren’t even in season. If i lived closer i would definitely be a member there.
Mirror Lake Mountain Course
Pace was excellent, course conditions were great. I always enjoy Mirror Lake
Nice course
Cart paths need work. Everything else descent, except lack of drinking water on course!
Great Course
Really enjoyed this course! Cart paths needs some love but overall a great course.
Improving under new management
You can see course management improvements on the course itself, in the fairways and bunker condition improvements. They're putting new blacktops in the parking lot. There's still work to be done on the cartpaths and greens.
I saw no Marshalls to keep up pace of play. Even though the course wasn't crowded, all it takes is one slow group to make it miserable for everyone behind. This is what happened on this day.
Pleasant Surprise
Fast greens and tough pins make you earn your putts. Both water coolers were empty on the course.
Nice layout but courses need some TLC
Both the mountain and lakes courses are excellent tracks. The mountain course was a bit rougher, fairways thin in many places and major construction going around it. Biggest gripe is the cart paths are trash and need to be replaced. Most of the bridges need new surface boards as well. The green fees are not cheap and it is private so I would think they would have the financial resources to get started..
fairways are cut pretty thin, about half of tee boxes were in good shape, the rest were a bit rough. Greens were good. Interesting course, but not worth $67
Mountain Course
First time playing the Mountain side. Not crowded for a Friday and pace of play was good. The greens rolled great and true. The fairways have greened up nicely. Not overly difficult from the white tees but have longer options. As in other comments some of the cart paths were banged up pretty good but I can handle that for the great deal. The clubhouse and food menu was great. The staff from cart attendants, pro shop, and restaurant were terrific. Will return.
Monitor pace more
Marshall was riding the course, but pace was very slow. Too many guys playing music and holding conversations on tee boxes.
Course is in fantastic shape. Cart Paths not so much.
Played the Mountain course and was very impressed with course conditions, greens, etc. Staff very friendly. The only complaint I could come up with are the cart paths. I know very odd to complain about cart paths but you’ll understand why if you end up playing here. Overall a real gem of a course and happy to drive an hour to play it.
