Pleasant Surprise
Fast greens and tough pins make you earn your putts. Both water coolers were empty on the course.
Nice layout but courses need some TLC
Both the mountain and lakes courses are excellent tracks. The mountain course was a bit rougher, fairways thin in many places and major construction going around it. Biggest gripe is the cart paths are trash and need to be replaced. Most of the bridges need new surface boards as well. The green fees are not cheap and it is private so I would think they would have the financial resources to get started..
fairways are cut pretty thin, about half of tee boxes were in good shape, the rest were a bit rough. Greens were good. Interesting course, but not worth $67
Mountain Course
First time playing the Mountain side. Not crowded for a Friday and pace of play was good. The greens rolled great and true. The fairways have greened up nicely. Not overly difficult from the white tees but have longer options. As in other comments some of the cart paths were banged up pretty good but I can handle that for the great deal. The clubhouse and food menu was great. The staff from cart attendants, pro shop, and restaurant were terrific. Will return.
Monitor pace more
Marshall was riding the course, but pace was very slow. Too many guys playing music and holding conversations on tee boxes.
Course is in fantastic shape. Cart Paths not so much.
Played the Mountain course and was very impressed with course conditions, greens, etc. Staff very friendly. The only complaint I could come up with are the cart paths. I know very odd to complain about cart paths but you’ll understand why if you end up playing here. Overall a real gem of a course and happy to drive an hour to play it.
Excellent course
I played lake last week and mountain this week - fantastic courses and now one of my favourites having played a lot around Atlanta. Always worth a 1 hour drive to get here
Nice course
5 star must be reserved for truly outstanding courses. This course is very good, however, the practice range was closed for renovations, cart paths are a disaster and course condition prevent the 4 stars. Cart paths are not something I would normally mention, but these look more like the streets in Gaza. Overall, enjoyable.
Decent
Greens were great on the Mountain Course. Medium to fast speed. However, the tees and fairways were tight and compacted. Doesn’t appear any aeration of those areas in recent years. The entire course was rough around the edges. Weeds and overgrowth at the edges of fairways. Bunkers were ok but in need of raking. Not a good value for $67. It’s been better in the past.
Rough like fairways on the back
Played mirror lake quite a bit several years ago. I assumed going today, at $60 during a weekday the conditions would be phenomenal. On the front 9, everything seemed okay. On the back 9, several holes had the fairways overgrown. I had no warning about this at all. Couldn’t warmup on the range due to the range being worked on (also unaware of this beforehand)
Mirror Lake (Mountain course)
Wonderful course, in excellent condition. The greens are the best part of the course, very great shape, and rolls fast and true. Will be playing both Mirror Lake courses again very soon.
This course has great features
I'm a member of this course through ClubCorp and would recommend this course to anyone.
