Golfer Reviews
My Mirror Lake Experience
Love the course and conditioning. Was a good value for the money for a private course.
Not worth the money
Greens on the front 9 were some of the worst I’ve ever seen and they were only slightly better on the back. Played as a twosome on the weekend with a threesome and foursome in front of us. We weren’t complaining about pace of play but the Marshall had a stick up his you know what and was rushing everyone. Felt bad for the guys in front of us because they were forced to play faster than anyone should. On top of all this, when I booked the tee time it said the price was 82. When we got there, they charged us 112. Thought with the price it’s got to be a nice course, but in reality it’s a regular neighborhood course with terrible greens and arrogant employees that obviously think they’re course is cream of the crop.
Great course, can be made long and challenging if desired. Tee boxes in great shape. Back 9 greens in great shape, front 9 greens were a little beat up. Will definitely come back.
Overpriced For Terrible Conditions
Lake course is great but this one was awful. Not maintained, greens were all infected and ridiculously rough. I understand we aren’t playing a top ranked course, but for $90 I would expect more than what we got. This round should not have been more than $45. We won’t be going back.
Rough Greens
Course was OK. The mountain course has bent grass greens that were not in great shape. The lake course has Bermuda greens and looked much nicer. That being said, as patchy as they were, still rolled OK. Front 9 course was nicer. Back 9 greens were nicer. Great bunkers.
Mirror Lake Mountain course
First of all, everyone was playing the Lake course, not the Mountain course. It rained 4 days the previous week. Fairways excellent. Rough was too long probably from all the rain, bermuda grass would easily swallow the ball when only feet off of the fairway. The greens were very soft due to the rain and were just sanded so extremely slow. Greens were in fair condition. I guess that's why all the members were playing the other course and I was able to get the good price.
Outstanding Value at a Really Good Course
The course was in fantastic shape. The fairways were well manicured and plush. The greens were well maintained and rolled "true". This has to be one of the best golf values around the metro area. I played on a weekday and the pace of play was perfect. The course was not over-crowded and it felt like no one else was on the course with us.
Course in terrific shape
Playing mid-afternoon weekday, the course was wide open. Under 3 hours to complete the round. Course is in excellent shape with a fun layout.
Great course, even better staff
I played the Mountain course. Very good layout. Good mix of easy and challenging holes. Some fairways are wide open, others are very tight with small landing areas. Overall, very enjoyable course. Greens rolled true, just enough pace to make it difficult but not easy.
The person who checked me in (Manny?) He was really nice. Welcoming and joyful.
I will love to play the Lake course if I am ever back out that way.
Decent Track
The course was decent, greens were in good shape, fairways and tee boxes were ok.
It’s not going to blow your socks off but it’s not going to leave you disappointed. It’s a decent track that I’d play again
Soggy day
Mirror Lake can be a very good round if you select the right 18 . Love the Lake course but unfortunately we played the Mountain course. The front 9 is horribly in need of maintenance. The fairways must hold a lot of water because they're either muddy or washed out. The greens are in good shape. The back is in much better shape, but overall not worth the price we paid. Play the Lake course.
