The Tillery Tradition Country Club

The par threes, while not long, provide challenges unique to each hole. Most fairways are generous but one doesn't want to stray too far off as the first cut is fairly deep. There is no water to carry but ample water along some fairways. There are what seem to be blind shots off the tee box that call for a fade or draw but the fairways are accomdating enough to handle a straight drive. This is a most enjoyable experience. And quite affordable.

Fairways had improved from last couple of years. Even after a big rain storm the course was beautifully maintained and repaired.

Great course and facilities. Teed off at noon on a Saturday and didn't see another group until 13. So quiet and the greens were quick and in perfect shape. Well worth the 60 minute drive.

The fairway are nice and green are smooth. The difficulty level at #12 is pro level if the the pin located at the far left. I really like this course.

There are many blind tee shots on the course, starting with the very first hole & ending on the last. Without local knowledge or a GPS it is not the most friendly course to play on a first visit - I had neither option and the card provided no assistance. However, the design is enjoyable and requires one to move the ball in both directions to score and there are several elevation changes. The greens are ample in size and even though had been recently aerated (& not mentioned in the offer on GN) they were running true. The course doesn't appear to get as much play as it could/should, given the condition. The staff was cordial, competent and the superintendent and his staff appear to know what they are doing. I'd recommend this as a course to play if you're anywhere within an hour travel time as there are several other courses within an hour that are equally well maintained and offer similar savings.

Ive been in north corolina three years, and this is simply one of the nicest golf courses around. Enjoyed every second that i was there. Two thumbs up.

The course is in GREAT shape.I have played Tillery several times and this is the best conditions i have seen.

A hidden gem. Lightly played and rarely crowded. Restaurant has been closed but was told will reopen on 6/5 with new food and beverage manager.

course has a great lay out with lots of elevation changes. Greens were very good but a little slow. Bunkers were in great shape with very fluffy sand so some shots buried. Course needs to spend a little money on fertilizer. Grass in fairways was spotty.

Only complaint fairway grass at dirt level. I mean for such a great looking course you shouldn't have to hit off the dirt.

Love the course! It is a great course to play during every season.

One of my favorite courses. I would play here every week if it was not so far from Charlotte. Beautiful course and always in great condition.

Always injoy the course and will play there as often as possible. They continue to improve it.

Course is in amazing shape for time of year. The layout is very unique and will definitely be back. Greens are a little slow but are currently being worked on. They should be in great shape very shortly though. Amazing course and would recommend to all golfers.

Staff a little dismissive and condesending; but the course makes up for that. Will play again.........

Tradition is a well hidden secret when it comes to great courses to play. Its in the middle of nowhere and is a PGA like course.

This is a great track -- excellent, secluded layout, challenging but fair. Located near Lake Tillery, it is similar in topography to Red Bridge or Tot Hill (without the tricks). Some blind tee shots, so recommend checking out the hole by hole layout on line.
The course features some elevation changes, moguls, swales, and varying green sizes. Greens were a little spotty (seemed about five or six weeks removed from aeration) but rolled true.

Clubhouse is beautiful, too. Highly recommend this course, and can't wait to go back when it is all green.
