Pines at Woodmont Country Club
About
The Pines is one of two championship golf courses at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac. It and the Cypress Course share a gently rolling landscape that is sprinkled with mature trees, which frame the views from the elevated tees. While they share the same terrain, the courses offer very different challenges. The lengthier Cypress requires both distance and accuracy while the Pines Course will get you thinking. It is a shot maker's course that will test a variety of skills. Course management is key as is a well thought out strategy for every hole. The layout features undulating greens and tree-lined fairways that also place a premium on accurate shot placement. In addition to the golf courses, Woodmont C.C. also has a driving range and two putting greens for golfers to use.

Cypress is nice, Pines is crap
Cypress is a nice course with lots of water. Well maintained. Pines on the other hand is in bad shape and urgently needs remodeling
Woodmont Country Club
This place use to have 2 courses and like most courses in south Florida they sold their soul for profits. They now only have one 18 hole course and an additional 9 holes. We played 9 holes of the 18 hole course and then finished on the nine hole course. Both courses were in good shape. However our GPS didn’t work on the nine hole course. I’m sure due to several changes. I have found that when these courses sell of some of there property it usually starts to go down hill because the owners would usually sell all the property for big profits. I guess we will see.
Squirrley layout
Places in need of some love greens Road true but a lot of weird grass growing in middle of fairways and white tee boxes were kind a beat up side from that. Think it was a fun track. Great piece of play we were the first ones out. So weren’t held up by anybody felt like it should’ve been a $40 course not $90. Thank God we weren’t stuck behind a group behind us. There was at least 2 1/2 maybe three holes open behind our group and not one ranger to push them along, so I feel bad for those poor slobs, who got stuck behind a slow pokes.
No flow to this course.
Very poor layout. Removed some holes and made you drive over poor cart paths and along roadsides
Streets to get to next holes. Goofy course. Not worth the effort. Goofy golf. Won’t return and I am a local. Very disappointed.
Go play here!
I Could not speak more highly of the staff here from my first encounter with the gentleman who picked me up at my car to the starter everyone was very nice. To start there is no range but a nice net area where you don’t really need to hit as many balls when you can’t tell how they are flying. The course was good, a nice layout with plenty of water to avoid. Fairways were good. The greens while plenty fast could have used a little help. Some weed sprouts and weird undulations. Plenty firm and true though.Tee boxes need a little help. But overall I am going to back to play it again I enjoyed myself immensely.
And would highly recommend.
Don’t play Pines
This was my first time playing Woodmont and the starter sent me off on Pines. Big mistake!!!!! Really poor condition and they didn’t say a word . The Cypress 9 was fine but overall it wasn’t a good round
Good Track, Only Getting Better
Played for the first time November ‘22 and back again a few months later. The addition of the warm-up area was huge. One of the reasons my group wasn’t quick to return was the lack of a driving range. Having the warmup area available is a game changer.
Starting in the parking lot having a cart delivered right to your vehicle is super convenient and gives the extra “touch” rather than lugging your bag up to the cart station or leaving them at bag drop.
With the construction around the golf course getting closer to completion the overall aesthetics of the course have improved.
As time progresses hopefully the tee boxes will get a little more attention. They weren’t great but weren’t terrible.
Greens were fast and in good shape, comparable to any of the better courses in the area.
Our group is mid-high handicappers and we play for the challenge but to have fun. Our two foursomes had an incredible time and pace of play wasn’t to fast that we felt rushed and were even able to get the whole group together after a few of the par 3s for “Swing Juice” and obligatory photo.
Beverage cart was around often enough and was friendly. There is an ice machine at one of the shelters that doesn’t work. It’d be a lot cooler if it did.
Club House has potential, but sitting at a round banquet table in the ballroom didn’t feel as warm and homey as other places. It’d be nice if they had some beverage and food service out by the pool.
No complaints at all. Just suggestions to make a great time even better.
Great experience.
Lovely course layout, challenging but not difficult if you use sensible course management. Friendly staff from the parking lot to the tee. Pro shop needs more items, no divot repair tool? Free practice balls, at the chipping area and range of the mat( batting cage like format) perfect for a warm up. Decent pactice putting green. Greens were fast and a tad less than great. Fairways were in great shape and so were tee boxes, although the turf was very firm. Pace of play could be improved but that's because the foursome ahead really stunk but we've all been there. Some course etiquette affecting pace of play should be advised to the players when at the register, include a printout.
Will play again in a second. Thank you for the hospitality.
Good course - very slow
Course in good condition and value for money if playing after 2pm.
Unfortunately pace of play very slow and no course marshalls so only managed 16 holes teeing off at 2.18pm.
Greens excellent consider amount of golf played but tees in poor condition.
Rude and shabby
From the moment we arrived at the course and were misdirected on the bag drop, to the grumpy starter who began to tell us where to check in but was distracted by some old geezer who cut right in to ask HIS more important question (after all, we are just two women and he’s a male AND a New Yorker), to the smile-less pro who took our cash but could not bare to speak to us, to the old geezer again who sped up to tee off ahead of us only to play at a snails pace and hold up three groups behind him but he’s a New Yorker, to the really shabby conditions, it was my worst golf day in Florida ever.
