Devlin and VonHagge designed this course, which challenges even experienced golfers. It has been rated by Golf Digest to be among the 50 top courses in the United States. The signature hole on the Championship Course is #12, a 452-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot through a cypress forest to an island green.
This 7,258 yards, par 71 course has narrow fairways, a deep rough as well as plenty of water and bunkers. Enjoy the fast greens and the excitement of knowing you're on one of the best.

Golf Day with My Son
Pace of play was slow because all groups had inexperienced golfers, or golfers at varying skill levels, so nobody complained. Course is sufficiently challenging. Greens were in reasonable (not great) condition. Most of the tee boxes were in rough shape and lacked sufficient ground cover. Most importantly, we enjoyed spending quality time together playing the game.
Decent course with reasonable green fee
I have played this course several times and I like the course.
The layout is good and good price.
Wet but Fun
I went twice to this Golf course and both times we were hit by huge rainstorms. The first time we didn't make it out but the staff was great! We received a raincheck and tried again the next week. We got through the first 9 before the rain came pouring again, and once again the staff were great and supportive! I will try again but really nice to go to a course where the staff is friendly and atmosphere is fun.
True Test
This is the 2nd time I’ve played this course since 2014. I love all the renovations that have been done to Colony West. Really love the vibe of this place and the staff is always professional and friendly. I played from the green tees and let me tell you this is a true test for an amateur golfer in Broward county. Nothing easy about this course! Hazards all over the place. On the par 4, 5s when you are 200-300 yards in to the green, it’s pretty tight with Noh much safety off the greens. This course made me think of Ben Hogans book where he speaks on course management. I definitely couldn’t play as aggressive as I normally play on other courses. On a good day I shoot low 90s with occasional mid to high 80s. Not on this course for me! All I can say is the course inspired me, humbled me to rethink my game. Definitely would recommend course!
Worth It
Course constantly improving and a great bargain on the $30 hot deals
Course is great value to play.
They put us with another couple guys, who were very nice and enjoyable to play with. the course was in very good shape, greens were a little slow but well maintained. Had great time and will be back in near future. We are from south Miami area, but due to the condition of course and price we paid, we will be back to play the Champ Course again. Thanks again,

Enjoyed this course, this is the second week I have played the Champ course. Definitely worth the money
Coming back
Even with the little rain we've had this year the course looks better than last year, should be ready for next season timely.
Even with these idiots that disrespect the course by not filling their divots or repairing ball marks, at the very least they deserve a NCIS Gibbs head slap ;).
Over all this venue is worth a visit.

18 holes in 3:40 .
Done before the heat hot hard.
Great golfing day.
After the round, the bartender was inattentive
