Championship at Colony West Country Club

Some fairways better than others. Greens in good shape. Played a few times and will play again.

The Fairways have many patches,greens are bumpy and slow

Greens surprised me, they were in very good shape. Fairways need some work though, but recent weather has probably made that difficult.

We had a fun time playing Colony West. The greens were in great shape, soft from the earlier rain we had so it made the greens a bit slower but more receptive as some of these holes are pretty long. This is a true shot making course but fair enough for all players. The clubhouse and everyone working when we were there was really nice. I look forward to going back, ( I hadn't played here in a few years) and my buddy traveled from Delray, wants to play it again.

I was met at my vehicle for bag pickup by friendly starter who then directed me to the proshop. Like new facility with very nice dining area. Went right out at appointed T-time as a 3-some. Fairways are ok with some rough spots - we played lift & place. Greens rolled true ( a little slow) even though recently aerated ( s/b real nice in another week or two). Love the course layout with all kinds of shot making possibilities. After the round had a nice lunch & drinks that were reasonably priced in their dining area. I'll be back!! Thnx Colony West 👍

This course has improved tremendously over the past few years, however the prevalence of bad grass in the fairways, rough and around the greens makes impossible the play from certain lies because of the threat of getting hurt. Hopefully this will be addressed sooner than later so the course can play to it's full potential. The lay out is great, very challenging, one of the longer courses in south Florida. Great deal for the money

Greens surprised me, they were in very good shape. Fairways not so much but with the near daily rain, that might be a factor. Bunkers were in good shape too. I hope this course keeps up with the hotel and new clubhouse/restaurant.

This was the first time I played the course since they renovated the clubhouse and facilities. I hoped the course was going to be in newer shape as well but, the fairways were very torn up, sandy, weeds, extremely patchy and thin. The greens were also very slow and somewhat inconsistent.

Of course, this track is historically is known for its great layout and history but, they've got to get these fairways back in better shape because this course deserves more attention from the superintendent for sure!

We played 18 holes and never saw a cart girl (on a Sunday!) then tried the bar at the turn and there was no one there to get anything! Terrible! It’s just a matter of time and the Glades Course will be home sites and if the city doesn’t get serious about keeping the Champ Course in better shape, it is also doomed. Please don’t let it go! It’s still the best layout around but it could be so much better. Wake up Tamarac City Commissioners. Takes money to make money. Fix it or sell it.

After the first hole the cart ran out of battery. Called the staff and it took 30 minutes to switch the cart out and they were not very friendly.

The condition of the course was horrible. They were working on it but in my opinion they shouldn’t accept players till the fairway is fixed.
