The signature hole on the Championship Course is #12, a 452-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot through a cypress forest to an island green.
This 7,258 yards, par 71 course has narrow fairways, a deep rough as well as plenty of water and bunkers. Enjoy the fast greens and the excitement of knowing you're on one of the best.

Tee shot on #8 par 3 Photo submitted by tmlo on 05/05/2013
Better after renovations
Update of my review after playing a round on temp tees during renovations:
Tees, greens, and bunkers were all in good shape. Bunkers were top-dressed with white powdery sand, but the sand underneath is still pretty firm. The sodded areas still need to grow in some.
Next thing that needs attention is the fairways. Very little grass in high-traffic areas. 25% of my shots were off dirt and sprouts. Nobody sands divots, which is crazy for how slow some of the people here are. My partner and I got paired with Slow N Slower. First 9 took 3 hours. We ditched them on the back 9 and finished in an hour.
Course is still a great value. Should hopefully continue to improve as high season approaches until it's swarmed with Canadiens.
Greens
For all the money they just spent to fix the tee boxes and greens.. I think the grounds crew could've did a better job the sod around the sand bunkers aren't that level and the greens aren't that great condition for just getting re-done
Greens are nice
Definitely one of my favorite courses in the area. Always a challenge to play the champ course at colony West. The greens make it all worth it. There may be some rough areas here and there, but overall it's a great place to play.
Awesome
New restaurant and hotel over looking golf course, with awesome views
Course was in excellent shape
The course was in excellent shape . New bridge look wonderful
Before taking your money, they should tell you the condition of the course. They were doing work on the course, which slowed pace of play.
This course in poorly maintained
The staff was not upfront about the conditions of the course all sand traps were off limit. The tee’s were all blocked off, the greens were not in great shape. The course only wanted to make their tee time booked without disclosing the conditions. Very disappointing.
Rebuilding for season
Course had rates $10-15 cheaper than usual, but it's because all tee boxes and bunkers are closed. Wouldn't recommend returning unless you're just out for a quick practice round and don't mind picking up, etc. Greens were in great shape, but you have to tee-off from the start of the fairways. Most if not all bunkers on the course are being re-graded, re-filled, and are being sodded on their perimeter. There are crews on almost every hole so it was pretty sketchy worrying about hitting someone when trying to play.
A bigger problem is that almost everyone in the area is behaving like the course is closed. People were walking through the course like it was a park, lots of dog walkers and lots of dog poop on the outsides of the cart paths. Watch your step.
Golf staff were all great per usual. Everything should come out really nice for the winter golf season once they finish all the work.
Colony West
We played the champ course. The course didn’t have any tee boxes and the tees were in the rough just short of the fairway on every hole. Played as a 2 some and ran into 3 different groups of 3. Each did not let us play through after running into each while still hitting their tee shots on the following hole. Greens were terrible as well but the staff was some of the most kind and funny people I have dealt with in a while while on the golf course. 0/10, will never play here again even if it was free.
Under construction
The tee boxes were under construction and Golf Now didn't notified it, the course is a mess
Great course
Was under a construction when I was there. However the course has lots of potential.
Don't Play this course right now
The course is getting worked on. The tee boxes are all closed. The greens are not in great shape right now either. The sand traps are full of green water and are currently unplayable. There are signs that say to not hit your ball in the sand traps.
This is a terrific course when it's in good shape. I was told they'll be up and ready before Thanksgiving. Hopefully it's sooner than that.
Course under repair
This course is under repai and should be closed until completed. Tee boxes are not open and temp tee boxes are at the beginning of the fairway. Bunkers are not open and are under repair, although very few workers working. No way we should have been charged $38 for a round. Bar and staff were very nice, but we were there to play golf, not have lunch.
