Championship at Colony West Country Club

I’ve been able to play the champ course three or four times this year. Always love the challenge off the tee boxes. This course will make you either pinpoint your driver or hit a three iron or Threewood and work it left and right. Still lots of fun.

Greens are a little slow, but in pretty good shape.

With the volume of players it is amazing that the course is kept in such good shape, weeds are hard to find on the greens that roll almost like glass, tee boxes are a little rough, but, most is us use a tee so it doesn't matter. Few fairways have bare spots and more weeds than desired, still able to get a clean connection. Overall well worth the money.

Fairways, tees and greens were good. Sandtraps were all dirt, mud and rocks. Grass areas surrounding the greens were needing improvement. Pace of play was slow. No real clubhouse, just a temporary building. No rangers on the course to speed up play. Signage for next tee needed in a few places. Decent layout that was challenging, but the deficiencies took away from the overall enjoyment of the course.

Greens were nice and a few of the water hole par 3s were also nicely set up.

I have played the Champ Course many times over the last 25 years. It's still challenging and a lot of fun. Should be an awesome place once the Contruction is complete.

Fairways were in ok condition. Some bunkers had rocks in them and the sand was hard. Greens were in good condition but a little slow. A lot of lateral water on most holes. I like the old cypress trees. Some construction going on. The Proshop was in a temporary trailer. Staff were very friendly.. Pace of play was good. I would play here again.

From tee to green this place is a mess. Stop spending money building a clubhouse when your course is a joke. Waste of time and money.

The layout is very good. I join groups as a single and so far all positive.

Great layout . Greens and fairways in excellent shape. Would be a.five star course with better tee shape and more care./attention paid to sand traps and surrounding areas. In short it’s a bit lean on the edges!

Course needs work. Several bare spots. Needs to grow grass. Amenities under construction.

They need to sink some money in the fairways. Greens are descent.
