The Cypress Course at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac is named after the mature trees that line the fairways and frame the views from the elevated tees. The course measures 7,043 yards and features undulating greens that are a challenge too with carefully shaped contours that are subtle but tricky. It is a golf course that requires not only distance, but also accuracy and a good course management.

This is the best condition I have seen this course
Nice layout, fast greens
The course layout was good. The greens were fast. The grass was a little thin and there was no driving range.
The course has improved!
The greens were in very good to excellent condition, and the fairways and tee boxes had improved significantly since I last played 2 years ago. The course is now comparable to the better public and semiprivate courses in the area. The course managers have definitely put in the work.
Mixed review
Layout was nice. Par 3s almost never shorter than 160 yds. Carts were popular during the Truman administration. Water on the course but no cups-except at the clubhouse. Toilets were very bus station quality. Fairways need work.
You can see the improvement
I played this course well over 3 years ago and it seemed like it was on a decline. Friend of mine set up a 2pm on Sunday for $30 which is pretty good this time of the year. Wasn't expecting a whole lot from this course, but to my surprise, fairways were in good shape as were the greens on the Pine 9 and back 9 on the cypress. I plan to go back especially when the rates drop during the summer.
Saturday round - pleasant surprise!
Played here with my dad on a Saturday - tee time at 11.36. Pace of play was awesome -ready golf! The staff was friendly, pro shop was alright, and I liked it. The course layout was somewhat tough to navigate as they’re doing a bunch of construction, keep your eyes peeled on the ground for spray painted directions. Greens were very fast, but manageable.
Great course in great shape
First time playing this course and we were pleasantly surprised with the layout and the shape of the course
Challenging layout
With the wind blowing this is a very challenging course. A couple of the par threes into the wind are extremely difficult. The greens roll really true but are very fast. The best value that I've seen in this area.
Bad surprise
I have played Woodmont 5 or 6 times and have thoroughly enjoyed all of my previous rounds.when i arrived for my 6:56 am tee time this morning after booking yesterday on GolfNow, I was informed there was going to be a shotgun event today and therefore I would start on the Cyprus course but after 9 holes I would have to finish my round on the Pines course. A nine I have never played before. I was informed it was a nice course, I had no problems as i set out to play. Having the first tee time of the day and being a single, I played the front nine in just over 1 hour. That is where the enjoyment ended. The Pines was a horrible alternative to the back nine of the Cyprus course. Conditions were average at best and the layout was terrible. This unfortunately left a bad taste in ny mouth for this course as I now realize there is no guarantee of playing the entire Cypress 18 when you set your tee time on Golf Now.

Friendly course
Greens and fairways in good condition. A nice combination of challenges with well placed bunkers and water. I would play this course again.

Greens were good and fast , fairways good. One problem of course was the changing of the pines course.
Great Course
I had a great day, a little windy but course was in great condition. Tough pin placements today though, greenskeeper must had an argument with his wife! Good value for price.
