Crescent Oaks Country Club
About
Located just north of Tampa in Tarpon Springs, Crescent Oaks Country Club sprawls across rolling hills dotted with sparkling lakes. The narrow course has a traditional layout that was carefully carved from dense woodlands, making it a challenging test. The lakes as well as a meandering creek come into play throughout the golf course. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The par-5 10th is one of the most memorable holes with an elevated green and a ridge cutting across the middle. Par is considered a good score on this tricky hole. The golf course finishes with a par-4 dogleg left that features water along the entire left side of the fairway. The green is also protected by sand on the right and water on the opposite side.

Golfer Reviews
Nice layout with very good conditions considering the Florida months long Drought
Very nice layout and well maintained. Greens roll fairly fast and are in very good condition. Enjoy playing here one of the nicer courses in my local area.
Nice Course
The course was in overall better than average condition. With rain starting I expect it to improve. Fairways are in good shape, greens are well maintained and roll evenly. I like the course and would like to play it again. Carts and cart paths are in good condition.
June Florida Golf
I've played here before and its always been challenging. Its a long course and there are multiple holes where water comes into play. The fairways are in average shape, greens in good shape. Tee boxes not so good. If you keep the ball straight you will be happy hitting off the turf. Off the the sides of the greens there are some sandy patches. The sand traps come into play here. These traps are not powdery sand, heavier and thicker. I was unlucky and had some shots that the lips of the trap were nearly straight down. There are some beautifully designed holes here. I would prefer to play here in the winter because yesterday the "feels like" temperature was 107 and it stayed sunny all day. There are no trees around the tee boxes so you bake. Not a forest type course. The players and staff there are very nice and have golf etiquette, 2 different groups saw I was single and let me play through.
good course
played at good pace everything was in good condition greens are little small
Best local course
Best course around for the money. Very challenging. Bring extra golf balls if your not hitting it well haha.
review
Crescent Oaks is a very enjoyable course to play....greens are cut close and fast, fairways are nice and wide and also cut close...not too much water to contend with from the forward tees, but lots of sand traps.......got there an hour before our tee time and there was no problem getting off early....very friendly staff....looking forward to returning again someday soon.....
Decent course
When I asked employee there, they said they water the course every day, which is a big deal, so there was not many dry spots on the course at all good to know
Not the best Saturday round
Golf at Crescent Oaks country club. Paired with two guys. One nice and one strange. Layout was ok. All par threes over water and others with forced carry as well. And talk about sand traps. Greens were ok. Fairways and tees a little thin. Played in little over 4 hours, not bad. Marshall on duty, starter was not much help, but nice enough. Greenfees 85 which seemed a little high for what we got. Not sure would go back, especially considering how far away it was from where we were staying.
