Crescent Oaks Country Club
About
Located just north of Tampa in Tarpon Springs, Crescent Oaks Country Club sprawls across rolling hills dotted with sparkling lakes. The narrow course has a traditional layout that was carefully carved from dense woodlands, making it a challenging test. The lakes as well as a meandering creek come into play throughout the golf course. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The par-5 10th is one of the most memorable holes with an elevated green and a ridge cutting across the middle. Par is considered a good score on this tricky hole. The golf course finishes with a par-4 dogleg left that features water along the entire left side of the fairway. The green is also protected by sand on the right and water on the opposite side.

Great experience
My wife and I were down in Florida to get out of Utah. Had the opportunity to schedule a tee time before we left Utah to play courses in Florida, just north of Tampa/ Saint Pete. Glad we played this one, even though I lost a few balls due to the water. A nice challenging layout for this 18 handicapper. Would play it again in a heartbeat!
Good course
Fun layout. Some easy holes and a few difficult holes. Fairways decent. Green pretty solid.
A solid course, plenty of golf shots, a few times of waiting around
1st time playing the course. Enjoyed the layout and definitely some challenging holes. Greens were in good shape and rolled true with some speed to them. Played from the blue tees and from that yardage and slope, a good challenge to the 12-15 hcp. My biggest complaint is there were quite a few holes (6 or 7) where our foursome would hit shots and then stand around a few minutes waiting on the group in front of us...and they would be waiting on the group in front of them...
Very nice
First time playing it, its very nice, not very long, but that is just fine, if you are very good, play from the tips.
I play from the whites today, it was fun, the driver only came out about 3 times.
So just go have fun.. we did..!
Test of Patience
All areas of review on this course are always good or excellent except pace of play. This is peak season so expect pace to be excruciatingly SNAIL PACE. A lot of older golfers out today, some WALKING, which should not be allowed during peak season. Marshal was out and about and did ask us if we were OK but not sure what he attempted to do to speed things up.
In great shape! Nice course. Greens in good shape. Tee boxes well kept. Goood price
Good views
It's a course with less houses and more cypress swamp. Fairly testy layout. It's just dead. Putts ok.
Poor service
Arrived at course an hour early inform the starter I was a single he said he would pair me up {period} that he would come find me when he had a twosome or threesome I warmed up for an hour watching the starter send off twosomes and threesomes without even looking for me when I approached him about it he lied and said he had been looking for me when I hadn't watched him the whole time {at this point he had lined up about 8 or 9 groups of four at my tee time and I would not have started for at least a couple hours at this time of day I would have never finished my round and I could not go to another course to get another round anywhere else it ruined my whole day. Integrity of the people of this golf course is the worst I would not recommend anybody play there.
Love Crescent Oaks
Let me start by saying, this isn't my first time playing at Crescent Oaks, it's one of my favorite courses in the area. For one of my golf leagues, Crescent Oaks is our course for December. We booked a 4-some for a 10:02. We were advised that they were running about 15 minutes behind on tee times Not a big deal, it was a beautiful day and it allowed for a little longer warm up. Despite the initial delay, we never ran into any other holdups. Outside of a couple of greens and fairways having some bad spots, the course was in good shape. The greens were running fast and, for the most part, smooth. I have another tee time scheduled for this week!
Awful Golf Day
Booked & confirmed 3 tee times for Saturday. Called again in Tuesday and confirmed. We were good to go. Got there Saturday morning NO tee times for any of us. Ruined our day. Two of us were able to join a twosome for 9:00 tee time, finished at 2:42 almost a 6 hour round. ZERO marshall's or concern from anyone about the 3 foursome in front of us hold up the entire golf course. We play Crescent Oaks at least 12 times a year. NO MORE for me. I am done.
Donation Station
I decided to plant some future golf ball trees in the woods at this course. Plenty of off the path trouble. Challenging but rewarding. Greens were in fantastic shape. Course was well maintained, punishing yet fair.
