Crescent Oaks Country Club
About
Located just north of Tampa in Tarpon Springs, Crescent Oaks Country Club sprawls across rolling hills dotted with sparkling lakes. The narrow course has a traditional layout that was carefully carved from dense woodlands, making it a challenging test. The lakes as well as a meandering creek come into play throughout the golf course. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The par-5 10th is one of the most memorable holes with an elevated green and a ridge cutting across the middle. Par is considered a good score on this tricky hole. The golf course finishes with a par-4 dogleg left that features water along the entire left side of the fairway. The green is also protected by sand on the right and water on the opposite side.

Crescent Oaks
greens are fast and very good
course is in good shape and staff very friendly
Fun. Well worth visiting!
Wicked fast greens! The layout is nice. All the staff were helpful and friendly, not stuffy in the least. JP the starter gave me quite helpful tips since it was my first time playing the course. NOTE: the break is not as much as you may think! Well worth the money!
Good Greens
It is always a pleasure to play Crescent Oaks. The staff is courteous and the rangers are friendly and are seen on the course frequently, making sure that players are keeping up with the golfers in front of them. The greens are about 91/2 to 10 on the stimpmeter and roll consistently.. I am looking forward to my next round.
Postage Stamps
I played this course for the first time yesterday and was very happy about the conditions. The fairways were in great shape despite the heavy rain the night before, the greens were in good shape, the rough wasn't overgrown, and the layout is friendly and forgiving. Off the tee you can get away with a mishit because the fairways were generally very wide. However, the true Challenge lies in the the tiny little greens. It seems like some of the greens were no more that 10 yards deep and 20 yards wide. They weren't overly fast and dint make any crazy breaks but for the most part they were very very small. The layout was a great time but really did have any thrilling holes just a mix of consistently good ones, Overall the course is worth a play and I will more than likely be back if i can get a good deal.
Great shape
Play appropriate tees, otherwise say goodbye to a lot of golf balls
starter started us on 10...said there wouldn't be anyone on 1 when we made the turn. he was wrong. had to wait approx 10 min. the pace was slow. not happy
Challenging course
This was our first time playing this course. We are not great players so take this review in that context.
You need to have a long drive on most holes if you want to par. Plus water and sand traps everywhere you look. I think only one hole is without a water hazard.
If you have a long drive and have control on the direction of your ball then you can master the course.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Bring plenty of golf balls
Punishing course for the average golfer with water or swamp area in front of tees, greens and along fairways. 1st. hole is one of the hardest 1st. holes i’ve ever played not designed for the high handicapped golfer. Course is in great shape and greens are fast when you finally get there but I would recommend it for better golfers only.
Fun Course - Great price
I used Golf Now to get a $13+ fee round starting at noon. There were several singles and doubles on the course so the pace of play was moderate. The course was in good shape. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were in good shape but the greens were inconsistent. The rough was challenging.
Always Fun to Play
This is always a great course to play, conditions can vary when Florida rainy season hits and greens cannot always be cut as short as I would like in hot weather but probably one of the half dozen most fun courses to play in the Tampa area. Each hole is different unlike many courses where the look from the tee box looks like the last one or the one before that.
Great course
Not just a great value but a really beautiful place to play. Lots of sand bunkers. But the sand is of good quality. I always enjoy playing here. Very professional staff.
Great Round!
Had a good time on a very nice course. I will play there again!
Golf With Nature
The golf course even with all the rain was in very good shape. Greens were extremely puttaable. The wildlife on this course is amazing. More deers and turkey's that you will see in a year in a park. So if you got a day and a date go play Crescent Oaks. The only draw back I have is not with the course but with the people that discard the cigarettes on these beautiful grounds.
So my advise to you is if you smoke please discard your cigarettes in a un littering fashion. If you don't smoke pick up the butts of others to protect this great track of land called Crescent Oaks.
Crescent Oaks
It was our second time there. We do like this course. Absolutely would play there again.
