Crescent Oaks Country Club
About
Located just north of Tampa in Tarpon Springs, Crescent Oaks Country Club sprawls across rolling hills dotted with sparkling lakes. The narrow course has a traditional layout that was carefully carved from dense woodlands, making it a challenging test. The lakes as well as a meandering creek come into play throughout the golf course. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The par-5 10th is one of the most memorable holes with an elevated green and a ridge cutting across the middle. Par is considered a good score on this tricky hole. The golf course finishes with a par-4 dogleg left that features water along the entire left side of the fairway. The green is also protected by sand on the right and water on the opposite side.

Great value for the money
Pro shop staff could be more friendly and welcoming. Every thing else was great.
Beautiful and challenging!
I love this course. Some of the greens were a bit soft and ball marks were quite evident where players forgot to fix their marks. Otherwise, the course is in excellent shape. I will be back.
nice course
Course was in good shape.
Average layout.No real memorable holes.
Good pace of play and hooked on with 2 other nice guys.
Great day
Played at the PM rate with another snowbird and followed a foursome for several holes before they said to play through.
the tees, fairways were in good shape and the greens were well maintained. All you can ask for on a perfect day for golf. 75 degrees.
Challenging but fair
This course is always very payable except when overly wet from Summer rains. Fairways are wide and the greens are very puttable. The most challenging part of putting is fixing all the ball marks that others are too lazy to repair. Other than that the greens run true. The biggest improvement would be rangers to correct some of the poor behavior of a minority of golfers.
Great former private club course
Good layout, good conditions, few scruffy areas in the rough. Small greens put a premium on second shots. Super value at $29, would willing pay more.
average course with small greens
this was an average course with extremely small greens.there is nothing special about this course,no standout holes, bunkers were in poor condition and not very concerned with over booking or getting play moving.this course is in an area with many near-by courses so it's not a must play.best bet if you do play this course, don't play it in the afternoon because leaving this community at afternoon rush hour is brutal
Consistently Good
A golf club that treats everyone great members or guests.
Course is in excellent shape, tee boxes are not perfect but everything is.
Thanks
Ideal Conditions
First time at Crescent Oaks. We picked the perfect day to play...sunny, 74 degrees and no wind. The course was in very good condition with a lot of roll. The greens were in great shape and holding. Loved the layout. Will definitely come back again.
Pace of play
A foursome in front of us had the whole course backed up. No one in front of them. But besides that I really enjoy the course and all the staff at the club always go out of their way to be helpful.
Good course for all levels. Great value
This is a good layout for all levels of players. Challenging from the tips and playable from the whites and oranges. Overall condition was very good. Greens were a bit slower than usual. Sand traps maintained well. Nice fairways. Great value for under $30 w cart. Played in late morning under 4 hours.
Play here often, always a good challenge, course was cart path only due to rains but was not overly wet good drainage & I respect the decision to keep course in good shape...very enjoyable round
Above average for price
The round only costed me $26 with cart. For the price, it was one of the better deals I’ve gotten for golf. Course has a few shorter par 4s which allow the big hitters to get to the green in 1. The design was a little interesting as the course has a par 3 followed by 2 short par 4s (or a similar layout, point being 3 short holes in a row) which created a back up of play, and it wasn’t very busy. Rough is tricky, some shots come out clean and others your club catches. 1 of the short par 4s and a short par three have the two smallest greens I have ever seen. They seem to have designed it to make shorter holes harder. Seriously, I have seen larger greens in a miniature golf course than that par 3 they have, I think it’s hole 17! Still fun though! Overall I did enjoy the round and would definitely go back.
Always fun to play
Although the course lies in a wetland area, the course is drying out after Summer storms and gets better and better. Greens are always good, fairways still have a few wet spots but improving. The best part of this course is that the holes are all quite different and each one, even the short ones, requiring some thought and strategy. As the course dries out, add a little wind and a slightly off center drive can become a quick bogey. Deep bunkers keep your approach shots honest. If you cannot hit high approach shots to stop the ball then you better be a good bunker player.
Good Day
Pace of play was good, greens were in great shape and the course was challenging.
windy
To say that a hurricane came through 2 weeks ago the course was was in good condition,
Pace of play was good on front 9 but 4 Ladies started on the back 9 and really held us up
