Conestoga Golf Club

About
Located about an hour northeast of Las Vegas, Conestoga Golf Course tumbles across the desert canyons and arroyos of Mesquite. Gary Panks, the course's designer, wanted to create a course that looked as though it had been forged over time by nature. By utilizing the desert landscaping and natural washes, the result was a stunning layout that is as scenic as it is challenging. The rolling topography covers a range of elevation changes, providing not only tricky uneven lies but also views of the surrounding canyons. The course is enhanced even further with interesting rock outcroppings that are interspersed across the landscape and several different water features. In addition to the natural hazards, Panks incorporated over 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout Conestoga Golf Course. It is formidable, but the course has five sets of tees to accommodate a wide range of skill levels.

loved it from time i checked in
The People in pro shop (Jan I believe ) was very friendly and accommodating as I travel with a small dog that does go on most courses and she gave me permission after approving it with club pro. Joined in with two other players and their wifes whom just rode and we had the best time for 5 hours of golfing as I dislike slow golf . The reason I think it was so slow was due to high winds but a beautiful course in great shape and when left the cart boys where great as well. I will be back!!!
Beauty in Mesquite!
My husband and I played Conestoga this past weekend and all I can say is AMAZING! I have seen a lot of beautiful courses, was married on Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach so I know what a nice course looks like. This is right up at the top. The views are spectacular, the conditions excellent and the greens were AWESOME!
I truly cannot say enough about this course-it was a GREAT deal for a day of BEAUTY!

Gorgeous, challenging course
Played this course on a beautiful February day. Conditions were excellent. Perfect greens. Lots of variation in holes, with some extreme elevation changes. Some holes were very tight and others not so much. The silver tees with a slope of 139 were a big challenge for us, but it was still lots of fun. Overall a great golf experience.
A real treat
A unique course. Each hole is its own little world. There is basically no rough. Front nine fairly tight but not unfair. Beautiful greens. I played the "silvers" at about 6400 yards. I'm a 12 handicap and shot 84 so it didn't cheat me!!
Great course, overcrowded
Course has great layout and very scenic.. Proshop staff unaccommodating and not very friendly. Golfnow saved us 50%. We were annoyed at the extra rider fee (my wife was a non-playing ride-along as we played with another twosome, so my cart had an empty seat anyway.
Always enjoy playing this course
Staff and food were great. Have played several times and will play in the future course is laid out so it can be enjoyed by any level golfer
This course has its callenges
The course is in great shape. My wife and I enjoyed the courses in Las Vegas the people were great and the scheduling was awesome I wish I could share the same for Conestoga but we can't, we got started on the back 9 @ 2:00 p.m. and unable to finish the front 9 because of extremely slow play. We paid a lot of good money to play this course and do not care to share anymore negativity about the staff.
Chief
Played with two good golfers who knew the course and had range finders which was an added bonus. Had a very enjoyable day.
Well groomed, scenic course
A great course to play , but I couldn't make it my regular course. It is a little too difficult for the average player.
Great
Played 8 of the top courses in Vegas area. Cascata, Dragon Ridge, Tpc vegas, rio, Wolf creek, wolf at pauite and coyote springs. Awesome trip!!! Must admit while I did like Cascata and Dragon Ridge better....Conestoga was my suprise course of the week. Simply Awesome !! Conditions were great!! Best deal of the week. Cannot recommend highly enough!!! GO PLAY!!
some challenging holes
some challenging holes. Need to play the course once so you know where trouble is
Best experience of the year
Spectacular course. When I play it a second time I'll be better on the first seven holes. Magnificent views.
Enjoyed the course. Challenging with a lot of elevation changes.
Challenging course with good customer service. A lot of elevation changes and a few hidden holes. The course books gives good tips but it also nice to play with someone familiar with the course.
Great condition, great service
What you expect from a Troon Golf experience. Super friendly staff & service, and a perfectly maintained course. Complimentary yardage book helped with the few blind shots out there. Great value with the golfnow discount!
Awesome golf course
The greens were a bit slow but the golf course was in great shape. The golf course is beautiful. The people that worked there were talkative and helpful. It was the second time I have played this course and it was another great experience.
Good variety of tees for every ability.
Beautiful course. A little pricey if you don't use Golf Now.
Sand traps are challenging and onery (especially if you are not a great sand player) and a couple holes that require precise landing skills...but that is what makes golf a challenging sport.
Amazing views, great shape, tough course. I would play it again- definitely!
Would like to play again! It was awesome, but challenging. Fast greens, great views!
Nice course Friendly staff Nice practice facility
Played on 10/31 Course was in great shape. Front nine is a little more target style course but the back nine opens up to a more traditional style course.
Course looked very lush but had some thin areas in the fairways.
Greens putted true but putted a little slow in my opinion
Will return to play again if price is right
nice track, very scenic
Conestoga is a beautiful course with an excellent practice facility. The layout is very nice with some very unique holes. We played in late October and they had recently over seeded so the greens were a little slow. The bunkers were rock hard a need some attention. I would recommend this course but I wouldn't spend more than $80 unless it was pristine conditions.
Beautiful Course
Very picturesque course with about 12 of the holes set away from the clubhouse and residential area amongst the desert canyons. Challenging layout with some forced carries and forced layups. Nice practice facility with putting and chipping areas.
