Great Course for the Money
Don't let the front nine fool you, the back nine has a lot of water and tightens up. Overall, it's challenging, but not impossible. The layout is fair, the boxes and fairways are in good shape. The greens, while dry at the time, are ok but when they get some water they are going to be perfect. The clubhouse was great, the flatbreads are AWESOME. For my first time playing there, it was a great experience. The staff was super friendly, course was in good shape, and it was overall a great day.
Great round
For the last six years we've played here seasonally and the course is in the best condition in years. Some fairways and greens are thin but overall condition is very playable. After playing thru a slow group on the second hole the pace of play was outstanding.

One of my favorites
Best layout by far in the county. It can play tough but still fair..Keep it in the fairway and lean on the short side with approach shots cause going long on any green is trouble...the surroundings are beautiful I do play here often and I still stand on 12 tee box and gaze around at the awesome surroundings of the course..enjoy your day

Good layiut
Good layout but there is little-to-no grass in the fairways. Greens have grass but are slow because of top dressing

La Cita
I enjoyed the day at La Cita Country club. The course is investing in the improvement of fairways and greens. The tees were beautiful. After the round, I enjoyed time with friends in the upscale grill. The food was top rate.

Wow
It was once a magnificent golf course. The layout is still there, the greens and tees were good enough, and this old track is tough. Beautiful trees and more elevations than most Florida real estate. I will be back.

thin fairways
We like the course for its proximity and layout. But they really need to do something to get this course back into shape! There isn't a fairway giving you grass to hit your shots once off the tee. Staff is extremely friendly.

What a layout
What a layoutI! I heard about this golf once private course from another player a couple of weeks ago. He described it very accurately, incredible layout and extremely difficult but not in the best shape. It was well worth the trip. I will go back and play it again certainly one of the most difficult most beautiful golf courses I’ve played in the area. If this course were brought back condition wise I suspect I’d never be able to get on it, it’s really something. Magnificent old mature live oaks and other large trees draped in Spanish moss water everywhere difficult greens to approach protected by bunkers and water certainly some course knowledge would help but I don’t think it would ever be an easy course to play, but I like tough golf courses. The greens held and putted very well and the tees were above average, just need some fairway work and some cleanup etc.

Tough shape
Nice layout but fairways are thin at best. Rough is non- existent. Greens roll ok but some have patches of crabgrass and sand.
