Our foursome had a great time! The course was in great shape. There are some wonderful views and some very challenging holes that will lead to high scores if you get too aggressive.

Greens were F-A-S-T. you did not want a downhiller.

Played 18 holes today on a hot deal, starting at 11:50. It was very hot outside, but the coolers had ice-cold water. The course was in excellent condition, with fast greens that rolled true. I can't wait to go back!

But EVERYTHING else was amazing!! But the welcome committee was clearly an uneducated buffoon who made decisions in life that landed him behind the counter of a ProShop at his age! apparently having to deal with people like me! But as he served me I dealt with his condescending attitude!If it bothers him so much to deal with people he should have made better decisions in life that would allow him to golf like me on a Saturday afternoon and not have to work behind the counter of a golf shop with a con descending attitude towards people - had to laugh at him

Bent grass greens!!! Yay!! They rolled really fast and true. Made putting a dream. Nice links layout with plenty of traps to negotiate. If this tracks wasn't over 2 hours from my house I'd be there again in a heartbeat, especially for the price they charge. Would love to see this course greened up in a couple of months.

This Arnold Palmer designed course was fantastic. Hidden gem. I live in the Outer Banks but the 1 1/2 hour drive to Occano was worth it. The layout, value, and condition of the course surpasses all courses in the area with it's only rival being the Currituck Club, which Occano beats hands down for green fees dollars.

Tees and fairways were great. Greens were in poor shape. I still love the course but the summer heat really too a toll on the greens

The greens had just been punched a couple of days before we played, and so the gentleman working in the clubhouse without us asking offered us half off our round and was very apologetic about it. The staff was friendly, respectful, and very helpful especially to the guys in our group who were playing for the first time. It was top-notch level service. All of the staff were professional. You could tell they loved what they do and customer service is their number one priority. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Bring bug spray in the summer! So many gnats!

Hands down the best course in the eastern part of the state!
