Quail Hollow Golf Course, located in Wesley Chapel, sits a convenient five minutes off of I-75 and state road 54. This championship course, designed by Charles E. Griffin, has been a favorite of Tampa locals since opening in 1965. The layout underwent major renovations in 2011 that totally reconditioned the greens and fairways as well as partially rebuilt it to make it more challenging. Bunkers were both reshaped and added. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and the large bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides. The golf course is demanding at times and will test your shot-making skills, but it is a fair challenge that is not too intimidating for beginners. Four sets of tees make it even more approachable for a range of skill levels.

The course was a in good shape
The pace of play was a little slow due to the starting group, but the day was enjoyable.
Nice for the Price
Nice course for the money. Still wet locations needs better draining but over all nice course to play.
Ice course, water drained well
The course was in surprisingly good shape considering the heavy rains 1-2 days before. Greens could use a little work, but overall this is a nice course with friendly staff, good food, and reasonable GolfNow rates.
unhappy round
fairway was very wet. cart path only. i lost ball from fairway many times. also we were 3 but staff made join with someone ,so we were 4 people. that time nobody on the firsttee box. it takes more time 4people playing. behind us was 2people. and another 2 people follow them. i play this course more then 20 times but yesterday was very fretful round. sameday afternoon i played northdale golf club was very nice conditon.only few holes cartpath only.
excellent course for the money!
The only downfall to this course was a blue fertilizer they had on the greens. It made oudr balls blue and stained my white towell blue. Even with this downfall i will still give this course a 5 star rating. The course was in nice condition, tje staff was really nice and the course was well groomed. Hazards everywhere, very challenging and overall a great course!
quail hollow
Love playing quail hollow staff and course are great fairway s are in awsome conditions would Def recommend this course
Good Course and Good Value
First time playing. Will return. Very wet from rains over the past week but had drained well. Greens firm and quick but held well. Excellent staff.
In Good Shape
My first time playing Quail Hollow and I was surprised by how nice the greens were -- 17 out of the 18 were in above average condition and only one was truly in need of work. The overall course was very flat and straightforward, many of the holes play close to each other (errant shots off tees can land near greens on other holes, etc.) which I personally don't like. It's still a decent value course when you consider its immediate competition in the area. The facilities get a low grade because there is no driving range, which is a big negative when you have to tee off early in the morning.
Good when dry
You don't want to play this course the day after a heavy rain. The bunkers were filled, the fairways soaking wet. Generally, it is fine when dry. A lot of wildlife and a mix of easy and difficult holes, from the white tees. Cost about $26-$32 most of the time.
Nice
This was my second visit to this course. I was very impressed first time around, very open with decent greens.
My second visit was not so great. I rained the night before and judging from the conditions, it seems that the drainage lacking. Then it started raining on the 7th hole and everything went downhill after.
Great course if it's dry though.
Soaked
Due to recent rains, the course was very, very wet. Cart path only which I don't blame them for doing. It was the wettest I have seen a course. After 8 holes, got stuck in a 20 minute shower that finished off the course. I feel bad because you could tell the course would be in great shape but all the recent rains made it unplayable. Will take some time to dry out and get back into shape. The pro in the pro-shop could not have been more polite and apologetic even though it's not his fault. Course is worth playing but I'd give it some time to dry out so you're not disappointed. Greens were in great shape, still rolled well.
Great Value
Course was in very good condition. Greens held, grass was cut, and was challenging enough to make it worth your while.
Logged on day of Golf for a Tee-Time and picked up 18 holes with cart for 20. Can't beat that value.
Only downside is players go off the front and back. I was golfing Solo and was slowed as a foursome jumped on the back. I politely went around and continued on.
Great Course and Buffet
The course and grounds were well kept. The Brunch buffet were worth it and well priced. looking forward to eating and playing there again.
Need to be more organized
When we got there the course was packed at the first tee box. Apparently their was a starting. From talking with one of the people playing in the league it was a show up and play so they didn't know how many people were playing until you show up. So with that in mind you aren't guaranteed your tee time if you play after a league.
Great course
Nice course
I would definitely go there again
Would recommend to others
this course has great features
We had a thunder storm and had to wait out 1/2 hr.before resuming play.
Worth the Price!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the past month or so the greens were not in very good shape. However, either the summer rains or the grounds crew have made a huge difference and the greens are in good shape.
Good value
First time playing this course...Wes, in the club house, was very friendly and helpful...the guys I got paired with were very knowledgeable and helpful...according to them the greens were rolling very slow due to the amount of rain recently...overall this is a great play for the money...
Golf at Quail Hollow
The course was in great shape considering the weather conditions over the last month. Went off as a single and played behind a foresome who played quick. I was off the course in three hours. Played other local courses in Tampa and this has been in the best shape.
