Quail Hollow Golf Course, located in Wesley Chapel, sits a convenient five minutes off of I-75 and state road 54. This championship course, designed by Charles E. Griffin, has been a favorite of Tampa locals since opening in 1965. The layout underwent major renovations in 2011 that totally reconditioned the greens and fairways as well as partially rebuilt it to make it more challenging. Bunkers were both reshaped and added. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and the large bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides. The golf course is demanding at times and will test your shot-making skills, but it is a fair challenge that is not too intimidating for beginners. Four sets of tees make it even more approachable for a range of skill levels.

Nice Course with nice water hazards and bunkers
Course is in great condition. The staff continues to improve the course. Greens are in excellent shape. Really enjoyed it, and will recommend to friends. Playing it again this weekend.
Great price for course
got a great deal, played this course before and def will be back...everyone was nice/friendly/course was in great condition
Nice course + low cost = slow play
Played on a Monday in hopes of playing a quick round. I hooked up with a twosome and we ended getting stuck behind some slow players. We kept letting single players play through and it was frustrating that they weren't getting the hint! Anyways, course was in good shape and not to difficult. Get a good price on golf.now and the slow play is bearable !
the course is alot better than before upgrading
you can use about every club in your bag on this course .It Is challenging, has lots of water, bunkers, and has lots of wild life.
Great price from Golf Now. Thanks!!!
great course great value
Its hot in florida now and so are the prices. Golf course was in great shape for this time of year. First time heard it was a must play course and it is. Little slow play for 2 quick golfers but overall great day. We will be back. Thanks
nice course
Very nice and challenging course. Will definitely be coming back.
Major improvements
I used to play at Quail Hollow many years ago and the course was not maintained properly at all.Example goose grass ravaging fairways, greens, rough was just native weeds. My experience playing now was very different..The course was well maintaned. The tee boxes and greens were in very good shape and the rough was actual rough, not weeds.I would recommend this course for any caual play as there is not much trouble you can get into and you can't beat the price.
Nice lay-out
Some of the greens were almost unplayable. Iwas warned that the greens had been aerated three weeks prior but I was shocked that some of the greens were just in terrible condition. I will not play this course again until perhaps November
Very Poor Greens - Not worth the Time
I have played Qual Hollow many times and in the past year I have seen a decreaing level of green preparation and Tee Box up keep. The fairways are still good, but it takes the enjoyment out of a great approach that will not sit for the very poor greens, and don't think about putting. It's a uneven road to the pin. I will avoid this course unless greens are brought up to par.
Greens Need Some Work
I would like to thank the ranger for doing his job, would have been a 5+ hour round had he not. The greens are in rough shape, I believe it will be a few weeks before they halfway decent again. The rest of the course is in decent shape. Their cart prices for drinks and food aren't bad.
More healing needed
Would have been nice to know before spending the money that the greens aerated 3 weeks ago had not even begun to heal. First 3 holes plus scattered others left you longing for good greens.
Greens are in BAD shape
The greens were as bad as I've played in Florida ever! I would avoid this course or at the least call the club house to confirm they have been repaired. This course has some outstanding views with the greens sitting in front of tall mature stands of trees. But let's face it the greens make to course!
Better than any course in the area
First of all, we played Saddlebrook resort on 6/4/14 and couldn't wait to finish the round. Their greens were so freaking slow and it just made the day go by even slower than the men's club playing in front of us. We decided to play Quail Hollow today instead of a second round at Saddlebrook. We started early and although they had aerated greens, this course was one of the most beautiful courses we have played in the Tampa area. What a diamond in the rough. It is woman friendly and the vistas are all through the course. It isn't a tough, undulating course but it had its long holes and from the blue tees, gives you a chance to use your longer clubs. There is obvious work and beautification going on and the cart paths are a plus. Many courses go cheap on cart paths but not Quail Hollow. The have paths all through the course and not just here and there. If there was one issue it would be the filthy bathrooms on the course. That detracted from the Beauty we were seeing. There are water hazards and water that comes in play off the tee or during play. We made a tee time for a second round when we arrived at the tenth tee box. We couldn't wait to play this course again. It is a must play. The staff in pro shop is t he attitude that one should see in all golf shops!! Way to go Quail Hollow. Please keep up the good work.
Greens just plugged no course alert on golfnow.com
I've never been burned this bad on a tee time. I paid what I thought was a fair price for what I had seen before to be a nice course. This is a nice course but, they had just plugged the greens and there was more sand than grass. There was no course alert on golfnow.com. When I got to the first green I felt ripped off. I would have never booked this tee time had I known they just plugged there greens. The rest of the course is very nice. Fairways and tee boxes were great.
Course was just airated
I've played this course numerous times and it's been in good condition with friendly staff. Today it was in horrible condition with extremely sandy greens and poorly maintained rough. Trying to putt on the greens is a waste of time right now. I would recommend calling and asking about the conditions before booking. Definitely not worth 25$ to play right now
Bummed
I was disappointed that they didn't make any mention of the green conditions on GN....they were airified in what had to have been the past two weeks and sanded the night before and so I had to play the two putt rule (which isn't always a bad thing with my putting) on at least 12-14 holes. If I had known there was that kind on maint. Going on I would have saved my trip from St. Pete for another time!
quail Hollow
I probably would have rated course a 5, but greens had just been sanded. Great layout and good challenge. Cant wait to try again when greens fill in.
Food in clubhouse was outstanding!! Teri our bartender was on her game!
5/28/14
Enjoyable course normally, however, the greens had been air raided and sanded the day before. If I was a where of greens conditions, would have played at a different course that day.
This use to be a great course
Fairways are great but the greens are bad, crusty, sandy. These greens have been bad for the last 3 times i've played them. For the $32.00 paid, this course should have been better.
excellent golf experience
Good golf course, multiple sets of tees for everyone, staff very helpful
