Quail Hollow Golf Course, located in Wesley Chapel, sits a convenient five minutes off of I-75 and state road 54. This championship course, designed by Charles E. Griffin, has been a favorite of Tampa locals since opening in 1965. The layout underwent major renovations in 2011 that totally reconditioned the greens and fairways as well as partially rebuilt it to make it more challenging. Bunkers were both reshaped and added. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and the large bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides. The golf course is demanding at times and will test your shot-making skills, but it is a fair challenge that is not too intimidating for beginners. Four sets of tees make it even more approachable for a range of skill levels.

Golfnow price is right
I had played Quail Hollow for many years. I stopped playing as the conditions of the course deteriorated. When I heard it was remodeled and upgraded I wanted to play it. The course itself, at the hot rates available with Golfnow, I will reccomend. I can;t reccomend this course at their normal rates, too many courses in the area are in better condition. As examples of my statement, some fairways are very nice, some are cut so short it is like hitting off the dirt. Some greens are beautiful while others look as if just areated and are not healing. For less than $16 I reccomend this course, more than that, no way.
Great course but not on this day.
Have played here before but didn't know greens were just aerated. No fun putting!!! Some fairways not accessable due to mud from previous rain. Wasn't worth the money. I'll be back but not after a rainy day.
nice course, good layout.
it had rained hard the night before, and everything was wet. It just had the greens plugged and topped dressed.
Good layout.
It was wet and the ball picked up mud on just about every shot. Greens need some work. All-in-all good course and will go back.
Greens are terrible
Greens are half dead ball doesn't roll true. If it has recently rained to go there as the course drainage is awful.
Greens are VERY VERY BAD !
This is a nice layout and the club house is nice w/ huge pool. However the greens are all but unplayable. I wont be back to play golf, but may go to their pool parties.
Poor Greens
This is normally an excellent course that I play frequently. Unfortunately the greens are in horrible shape with a lot of black bare spots. Would not recommend playing until the greens are back in good shape
Cup half full or half empty?
The course has a wonderful layout and the fairways are descent. The problem there is the greens are void of grass in numerous places on most of the greens. I have seen the place in far better conditions in the past. Too bad the greens have been neglected.
fun to play. very gorgiving.
greens in need of alot of attention. fairways average to wide.
Good Layout, greens overrun with fungus
We tried to play this course, however not only was it flooded in most areas but the greens where overrun with fungus and not playable for a 6 handicap golfer. The car path only made it even worse since we had to trudge through flooded areas to reach our balls. Had I known the conditions I would never have booked at this course and would sincerely like a credit for future booking somewhere else. We only played seven holes and stopped due to above conditions and EXTREMELY SLOW PLAY
Greens needs work
This course has a nice layout. The fairways are well kept, great wild life. The greens need work.
Golfer friendly!
Quail Hollow is a great place to play golf. From the friendly greeting at the pro shop and the courteous reception while on the course and at the 19 Hole makes it a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. From tee to green the conditions are remarkable!
Golf course is under construction. There were maintenance people digging up half the fairways and the greens were punched. Not good.
Could be a good course if they ever finish the construction on all the holes.
Nice Course...Super Staff
Nothing to do with the course, but I got bad direction from Google maps and what should have been an easy 35-40 minute drive turned into a 3 hour ordeal of bad directions from several people I asked, so needless to say, I didn't make my scheduled Golf Now tee time of 1:49. I thought about giving up but was determined to find the course. Finally a tow truck driver that I happened upon set me straight and I showed up at the course at 3:45. The guy in the pro shop was super friendly and told me there would be no problem getting me on the tee immediately and the cart barn guy was at my car with my cart the moment I pulled in and was very friendly as well. So, was it worth it? Yes, it was. The course was in very nice shape and the greens were smooth, fast and true. The bunkers were pristine and the layout, while not particularly long was nonetheless interesting. Lots of grass on the fairways and that isn't typical for public courses in and around the Tampa area these days. Everything is in front of you here, so there's no reason you can't score well. While it's nothing you'll remember for the rest of your life, I do reccomend it without any hesitation at all. You'll have a good time here.
Nice layout
The course has a nice layout. Could use a little attention to the greens.
Not a memorable outing...
I was really looking forward to playing Quail Hollow. I played it a few years ago and the greens, from what I could remember, were great and the course was challenging. I usually book all my rounds thru Golfnow.com, so as many of you know, for $23 as a hot deal, the course needs to be amazing! After all, you can play a number of really nice courses in the Tampa area for that amount and even less. With that said, I should have made my reservation for another place and saved a few bucks! The greens were ok, at best. The fairways were chunky and if you missed the fairways, forget about it. I was in the sand without entering a bunker on several occasions and in ruts in the ground on several other occasions...not what I was expecting at all and will not be back unless it is for a really good price and nothing else is available. Thankfully, I was able to play later on in the day at Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club and though it is a shorter course, the grounds are amazing and the greens are the best I have seen yet this year.
great course well maintained
Excellent definately recommend great couse will play again
Got a great deal, course scenic, challenging, and in great shape!
Got a great price. The whole course was in great shape, the greens were fast and hard. Good for golfers of all levels. We loved playing the course, hope to come back and play it again!!!
Nice Course
I like the course. It has water and doglegs to challenge most golfers. The greens were fairly fast but somewhat hard to read. What is it about some greens that just don't break the way you think they will?
The course is in great condition
Course was in Great condition, the bunkers were the softest sand I've ever played out of. Felt like I was playing a top dollar course. It was the first time I played the course, now I can't wait to play it again.
