Quail Hollow Golf Course, located in Wesley Chapel, sits a convenient five minutes off of I-75 and state road 54. This championship course, designed by Charles E. Griffin, has been a favorite of Tampa locals since opening in 1965. The layout underwent major renovations in 2011 that totally reconditioned the greens and fairways as well as partially rebuilt it to make it more challenging. Bunkers were both reshaped and added. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and the large bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides. The golf course is demanding at times and will test your shot-making skills, but it is a fair challenge that is not too intimidating for beginners. Four sets of tees make it even more approachable for a range of skill levels.

Nice course, staff very cordial
We had a very enjoyable, friendly game with friends.
Great conditions-fast greens
Green from tee to green. This course is in great condition, the tee boxes are nice, fairways and greens are great. Very nice layout and lots of different looking holes. Large greens with many breaks that roll true and fast. The staff is super friendly and the Cart girls are awesome. The only draw back for me is no driving range, but they do have a mat and net to hit into to at least get warmed up on...Check it out, you wont be disappointed.
NIce fair course for all skill levels
This course is kept very well and poses a test to every skill level player.
Course can be played by all skill levels
Some fairways need some attention some areas are sandy but overall in good shape greens were true and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Overall good value.
The course was in good shape for the time of year. Tee to green was well maintained with greens running moderately fast. Pace of play was good and cart services were available on the course. This course offers a good range of tees providing challenge for the low handicap and playability for those with moderate skills
Enjoyable round
Staff friendly and helpful. Course was in very good conditions. Greens held well
nice layout
beautiful course, with a lot of water in play. staff are very kind and helpfull. will be back
Good shape...good play for the $$$
The course was in good shape and challenging. The day was a little windy and the course is exposed which made it more difficult. Can play long from the tips. Greens were in good shape and rolled true. Good value for the money...
Great food in the restaurant/bar. Full menu. Very friendly staff.
Hard, fast greens. Difficult to hold, but rolling very true. A little slow at 4.5 hours. Always a good circuit at this course. Very well maintained compared to most public tracks in the area.
This course is in great shape.
It was good to have great sand in the traps, there playable! I fond the course well maintained, glad i got to play this course.
The course is laid out very well. Open and that's what I like most about this course.
I have gone back twice since I booked on line. I brought a friend with me and he said that he lovede the course and will play there agian. He lives in Alaska and plan on moving to Panama Florida. we played today (30 Jan) and had a wonderful time. However, I have one complaint about todeay's round. There was a four some in front of us (ladies) and they made our round very, very slow. In fact two of the guys with a four some behind us, quite playing after the rounded to the 10th tee. I feel that a ranger need to be on the course especially when it's busy to keep the play moving at a decent pace. Hope that I don't run into that again. It really mess-up your game.
Best Course Around.
One of the best courses in North Tampa/Wesley Chapel area. Great staff and the course is in phenomenal condition. Enough challenge for anyone from the tips or an easy fun round from the white tees. Best course the money. Outstanding restaraunt and drink specials.
Friendly staff and peaceful course
The staff was super friendly and very reasonable to work with. My group was running a little late and they worked us in after everyone showed up. We got comments like "take your time, don't worry about it, and we'll make it work for you." It was a great relief. As for the course, it was quiet and peaceful. Some might consider it crowded as a couple of holes ran next to each other, but there weren't too many like that. For a novice golfer like myself, this course wasn't too challenging. It's that or I just had a really good day and it didn't seem that bad. I highly recommend to friends or family looking for a casual and quiet round just to get away from the woes of life. Even if it is for only 4-5 hours.
better than I Expected
older design course from the mid 60's a lot of sharp doglegs, greens in better condition than expected, a lot of fun to play would definitely the place again.
Good layout in excellent condition with a welcoming staff.
Quail Hollow reopened in September, 2011 and it is like playing a brand new course. It is in excellent shape. The layout is challenging without being impossible. The restaurant is the best of any golf course restaurants that my group has encountered.
Very pretty course, but....
... the greens will not hold any kind of shot in their current condition. They look lovely and are quick but aeration is very badly needed. Nice fairways. The sand is well kept and playable and we saw lots of it because of the unreceptive greens. The staff was friendly and the round included a comlimentary draft beer afterwards. Let me know a week after the greens have been aerated and I'll be back!
Course in great shape
This is the closest course to my home so I play it often and it is a very nice course, packed with bunkers and water. Wide open though, and very forgiving course. The greens and fairways are in amazing shape. Will continue to play here!
Renovated course in great shape!
Renovated course in great shape. Good bit of water in play on the course, but not unmanageable. A few homes along some fairways, but not crowded. Moderate difficulty course unless you stray into the water a lot...
Only negative was the lack of a driving range to warm up on. They have a practice net to warm up on that accommodates two people at a time off of a mat / rubber tees... I was told that the course originally had a driving range out front that was removed as part of the renovation...
Practice Putting green was in good shape, and reasonably close to what I saw out on the course. It had rained the night before so the greens were a little slow at my 8:00 AM "winter" tee time... I was told by a local player that they speed up quite a bit once the sun hits them...
Great fairways! Very good greens. Too much sand in traps
First round at QH in 10 years. Fairways are in excellent shape. Greens are very good (too bad more golfers do not fix ball marks; only negative about the greens).Thought the traps had too much sand to play consistently. Overall layout is good, fair and not overly long from blue (2nd tees, 6,300 yds). Generous landing areas on most holes but must positions drives to have best scoring chances. Pace of play was good at 4:15 or so.
