About
With a name meaning 'quiet waters' in the Seminole language, Okeeheelee Golf Course is situated amidst lush, rolling hills that overlook the sparkling waters of Clear Lake. There are 27 championship holes that are divided into three nines and can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Osprey, Heron, and Eagle nines are named after the various wildlife that can be seen throughout. Each golf course offers a different set of challenges and scenery. Okeeheelee's Osprey/Heron Course features a variety of elevation changes. There are scenic views from the elevated greens but don't become too distracted since there are many elements to contend with including towering trees, strategically placed bunkers, and deep rough lining the fairways. There are also plenty of water hazards coming into play.

Beautiful and Good Conditions
This was our first time at this course it was absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. You will run into wildlife such as iguanas raccoons and maybe alligators. The course gives you a lot of wide fairways which gives you room for mistakes. We are beginners but we play a lot and we really enjoyed this course. The people behind us were like speed golfers so we let them go around us but other than that we had a fantastic day. Beautiful place to play and worth the money!
Great public course
I was surprised that the courses were in such good shape. Most holes are interesting and different. I will play the course again soon.
what a fun course...
we went with two couples...everyone had a blast...numerous tees to challenge all skill levels...ponds strategically placed throughout.....cart path only on a few holes due to heavy rains the previous day...fun...fun...fun

Good course bad ranger
Good course to play on a slow day or if you are very good at golf but for the beginner or novice it is a pain with the staff and Ranger

course is in great shape
The greens look good and rolling near 10 i bet, the rough is cut fairly low and the fairways are nice. The course looks very nice for the weekly golfer !
Great bang for your buck
With three different 9-hole courses the experience at Okaheelee can be tailored to fit your game. While not particularly long the courses are fairly tight in many spots and require you to use all of your course management abilities. Lots of water and natural areas throughout the two courses I played so pack a few extra balls just in case. Overall I had a great time and will most definitely be going back!
Great local golf course
Always enjoy this course. Love the water . Also the way the tree lines are in involved. And the greens are smooth.
Good course, bad greens
Great value for the money. My only two complaints are slow greens and poor pace of play.
The course is being aerated
I didn't want to put excellent or poor because the course is full of holes and it was a little wet. Normally the course condition is good not as good as some of the private or more expensive courses. I play here all the time and feel blessed to have a course that is fun. The greens seem a little slower than many places but overall I am content with the 3 9 holes.
Hot summer day
Teed of at 10:10 and it was already over 90
Degrees. Played as a 4some and went right out. Tee boxes and fairways were in very nice condition I like this course as it is challenging with tight fairways and lots of water. The greens were in very good shape but seemed slower than the last time I played here. I would recommend Okeeheelee.
Nice time!
Staff is VERY friendly, including starter (you know--sometime starters act like they're the be-all-end-all). Fairways were in great shape, as were bunkers. Greens a bit Sandy but it is what it is... Snack bar ladies were awesome--friendly as ever! Live just down the road..WILL be back!

Played Eagle, very nice!
Played alone, which was good for me as I did not know this course. It was fairly easy and enjoyable

I liked the course layout and how big the course is great value for the money only problem I had that I takes for ever to play but still very fun
fantastic scenery
I played this course yesterday ,the only negative was the first nine holes had just been aerated and consequently we're poor to play.The back nine on the eagle were fine.

Very disappointing to show up to the course and find out it has been recently aerated. Definatly would not have played if I knew that ahead of time.
