Osprey/Heron at Okeeheelee Golf Course

About
With a name meaning 'quiet waters' in the Seminole language, Okeeheelee Golf Course is situated amidst lush, rolling hills that overlook the sparkling waters of Clear Lake. There are 27 championship holes that are divided into three nines and can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Osprey, Heron, and Eagle nines are named after the various wildlife that can be seen throughout. Each golf course offers a different set of challenges and scenery. Okeeheelee's Osprey/Heron Course features a variety of elevation changes. There are scenic views from the elevated greens but don't become too distracted since there are many elements to contend with including towering trees, strategically placed bunkers, and deep rough lining the fairways. There are also plenty of water hazards coming into play.

Fun to play
The golf course is in great condition, definitely will play again!
The beverage cart service was awesome!
Good public course, not too difficult, very good greens.
The course we played (Eagle/Osprey) was wet because of all the rain we have had, but very playable. The greens were very smooth, average speed, and undulating. The Osprey had some very large greens. The fairways were in good condition, though there was some standing water in places. We played lift, clean and place, though I had surprisingly few mud balls, and rarely touched the ball in the fairways. This course is excellent an value, and always fun to play.
Great Course even with Aeration
First time playing this Palm Beach County course and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though the greens and fairways were recently punched, did not take away from the enjoyment of the course. I will certainly play here many times in the future
Aerated
Water on the course everywhere. Balls plugged at least once per hole. Awful. 9 out of 27 holes open. Extremely disappointing.
Great coarse
Great place to play. Staff is friendly and professional. Coarse is in great condition nothing more you can really ask for out of a public golf coarse
Great shape
No complaints about the conditions. It is a little short. I got stuck in a school zone for 20 minutes trying to leave the park around 4 pm
Nicely managed course with many varieties and more
These guys are just so kind and accommodating. Great deal.
Nice course
It is a very “Florida@ course with the swamps, wildlife and bridges. Pleasant. It was very empty when we went - later in the evening. We went to this course a couple times a few years ago but did not return because the staff were unpleasant and too structured. If I want to be yelled and talked to I will just stay at work. Anyway, it was not like that recently. Hopefully that is the new normal. Will play again.
Not a good a course
This is not a good course if you hit your driver over 270 yards. There are 3 holes on this course you can hit your driver. The tips play 6600 yards. There are way too many dog leg lefts and rights. There is no clear view or angel to give your driver or 3 wood a chance. I hit an iron every teen box but 3. Again, if you are long hitter, do not play this course. It’s not fun at all. The conditions of the course good. The layout of the course is not good.
First round here
This course has a good layout and is in amazing condition for a municipal course. The greens were perfectly cut, the only suggestion I could make is a request to post notice of date of aeration and sanding. The greens were firm and consistent in speed. The layout is challenging and I’ll look forward to playing here again. Played Eagle/Osprey
Greens were challenging, but great!
Greens were firm and fast! Tee time was at 4:05 so only got 17 holes in (carts need to be in at 7:45),but enjoyed this course and will be coming back!
Great Value
Nice design and layout, the course has well maintained fairways and greens and the rates make it a must play in Palm Beach County.
