West Palm Beach Golf Course

If you're looking for a challenge at a great price, this is the course for you. There are no water hazards in the course, but there is sure a lot of sand. The greens are surrounded by bunkers, the fairways are peppered with bunkers and the fairways themselves are surrounded by sand. The greens are elevated, and the course as a whole offers pretty good elevation changes, especially for South Florida. To add more fuel to the challenge, the day I played was extremely windy, 10-20 mph winds all throughout. Overall, this is a pretty great course for a municipal course, the greens are in awesome shape and rolled pretty fast, and with tons of undulations. This course ate my lunch, I cannot wait to come back again to try to beat my pretty horrendous score.

It is absolutely crazy to permit golfers to walk before 2 pm, as in our case with an 11:48 tee time, we had two groups of walkers in front of us. We repeatedly lost the momentum of playing.

Also, there was a lot of trash laying about the course.

The starter was courteous and polite.

I really enjoy playing WPB, and the elevation changes are great and can make some of those 430+ holes into the wind and uphill just brutal! i would rather play this course 20 times before park ridge, the other south florida course with elevation change. all of the greens are elevated, very true to designer dick wilson, even some blind shots from certain sides of the fairways. the waste areas, which i like better than water for obvious reasons, can be frustrating if you end up in a deep foot print. great value for this course in the winter and i would recommend it to anyone.

This course has a fine assortment of doglegs… They used to be accentuated by trees lining the fairways but about 10 years ago thousands of trees were removed and now the course is not as pretty and a tremendous amount of waste bunkers have been established… We did have a problem with a foursome that took time off for lunch and then attempted to jump back into play ....they backed up the entire course… And assistant professional and head profession we're out there often to monitor their play to keep play moving… This is the first time I've actually seen management try to resolve a problem… The management staff did a fine job of working with this foursome

The car guy was not available to take our clubs and show us what card we can use. When we got to the starter he was very unfriendly and did not make any effort to introduce himself and tell us what the plan is I'm getting out on the course on time. He let a foursome out that was late and then a twosome which totally messed up play and then finally Let us out 30 minutes late behind two foursomes. 5 1/2 hour around terrible course management and the on ability to set the rate four sums up together

Greens on the fast side but in good shape. Tee boxes improved, fairway grass too short, maybe due to lack of rain. Good pace, good carts, will return.

Went there for the first time because of special offer for Thanksgiving Day.

Amenities have a lot to be improved. 2/10

Good course very well maintained

Overall I enjoyed playing the course. The only thing I did not like was being paired with other random golfers. I scheduled my Tee Time through GolfNow.com and was unaware that we would be paired with strangers. Not a fan of that. Would prefer at least having a warning on that.

this course is nice and open. a lot of sand on the sides of the fairways. but i like it very much...

I've played this course a few times and generally been satisfied but my most recent round was less than average. There was a 6-some in front of our 3 and the pace of play was appalling. They totally overbooked for the day to the point where there were 2 groups waiting on every tee. They may want to say it's "the season" but clearly better course management was needed. There were other 5-somes, too, again that should be addressed. Not sure I could recommend the course to anyone based on that round. No ranger, no one trying to keep up the pace, which during the season is really necessary. If you try it be prepared for a looong, slow round.

Booked 18 holes and only played 9 as it took 31/2 hrs to play 9. I understand it was a beautiful day and lots of people were out. My partner and I followed 4 guys- 3 adults and 1 adolescent. They all played from the black tees which slowed down the game. They never asked us to play through and there were no marshalls out. We left after 9 holes and the starter did not feel she could compensate us. We golfed at a different course today and though busy it moved well and there were four of us not 2 and we played 18 in just under 4 hours. What a difference? We were asked where we played as the couple were visiting Florida and we could not recommend your course.

As a once quality course, the layout is very good with a variety of holes and many tee options. The greens were somewhat dried out but still putted true with good speed. Tee boxes are in bad condition and the course overall shows minimal maintenance which would be expected foe a muny course. It is certainly playable with good value for price for a bogey golfer such as myself playing forward tees. There are quite a few walkers some of which are very slow No 19th hole. I will play again.

Only course in the area with good drainage, all others are under water. Lots of sand, don't forget your SW

layout is pretty cool fairways were in horrible condition, but greens were nice & rolled true. The ruff was actually sugar sand, so keep your ball & cart outta there. This course would be a great course, with a lot of great potential but what do you expect from a city run courses, I don't understand most courses have great fairways with average greens & this is the total opposite, horrible fairways but excellent greens. better than hitting a bucket of balls
