West Palm Beach Golf Course

A good ol' fashion golf course. It's a bit rough around the edges but it's a decent track. Not a drop of water on the entire course . If you are off the fairways, you are in loose sand and scrub bushes. Some solid driving holes that are framed nicely. The topography of the course is actually quite nice and rolling which is a breath of fresh air from the normal flat So FL course. Fairways and greens were in pretty good shape. Tee boxes are a bit scratchy.
For the price, I'd okay here again....

I've played this course a couple of times the first time the greens had all been sanded so I had to give it another try. This course has a great layout, certainly a gentleman's course with wide fairways and no water. Its a bit rough around the edges, waste areas could use some work but this course's strong point is definitely the greens. The were in excellent shape and rolled very true. Will be back.

Bonne conditions de jeu: allées et verts (assez rapides). Verts bien protégés par des fosses de sable fin. On y retrouve de beaux trous de golf dont un par 3 en montant qui n'est pas donné. Je le recommande.

It was raining this weekend and I called 5 golf courses in the area to play golf and they were all closed. Not this course. They're always open. Their course drains really well. The girl is the pro shop is really nice, and the starter is pretty funny. All the prices go up during the season and this place really is a good deal for the money.

Senior gentleman assigning carts as I walked up states gruffly " Got a tee time." I reply " good afternoon , how is it going? " He then states "Did you hear me ? , to which I reply "Did you hear ME!?. He then angrily walked away.

Other than that, it was a rainy day, but the course held up very well. There were a few bad spots on the greens one of which was where holes had been cookie cut out of one section. There is only a hut/snack shop, although the young lady staffing it was very pleasant.

This was a great course which has taken a step back since the last remodel, but it is still one of the best values around.

Principally good coarse, particularly beautiful green areas with challanging bunckers. Quality of green rather good but fairfays only of average. Overall outlook littlebit unclean.
Pace of play very slow 4 h 45 min. Again met a hassle on the first tee with 20 min delay of teeoff.

Just moved down for work and I have played here 5 times and like the course, it is challenging but fun. Had a terrible experience last time. Got stuck in the rain on 8 and had to wait it out for a clear spot to head in. Tried to get a rain check and they flat out said no. Don't play here if there is rain within 100 miles, they won't accommodate you.

We play this course often and always enjoy it. It's well kept, greens are in good shape and pace of play is good at just over 4 hours.

We didn't ever see the starter but a local told us it was ok to play once the 2 some in front of us got to the green so off we went. We thought we'd be paired up but that didn't happen. We played the front in 2 hours waiting on every shot then hit the wall at the turn. Seems the starter sent people off the front and the back causing a huge mess and lots of unhappy golfers.

We'll be back because we like the course but hope they work out the starter issues they are having.

I enjoy this layout that has many sets of tees for all levels of players...greens are always nice and roll perfect..generous fairways...overall good shape...great value for the price...will play again soon

It was a fun course a lot of character lots of dog legs good amount of sand and if you miss the fairway good luck finding your ball.

First the good....The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the pace of play was great. The the bad.....Playing this course is like playing golf in the Sahara desert; sand everywhere and not a drop of water to be had. (Never thought I'd yearn for a water hazard). If sand was grass, the course might be pretty good! Just a dry, poorly maintained golf course. Sorry!

This is a Fun Course-Greens in great shape- Fairways fair.

Although I lost by 2 strokes to a girl, I still had fun. Great greens and sand, fairways easy to hit off.

Course was empty, but gave me a hard time about starting before my tee time. They usually put pressure on me to start before my tee time to fill foursomes, then they let singles on which we let play through .The greens were sanded heavily and dragged after I played my round . I had to play through water sprinklers on top of everything else. This course needs new management.

This course was so much fun to play! All the history that goes along with it, is amazing! We can't wait to play again!!

Love the course. My second time and enjoyed playing it again. Great value and course was in great shape for this tme of the year !!!!

This was my first time playing this course. The course played very nicely. Unfortunately, my iron game was not strong that day, so I had difficulty of the approach shots.

As for the course, it's pretty wide open. But there are LOTS of sand traps, so be careful.

Also, the carts are electric, but certainly old. My bag fell out of the cart TWICE - during the round. Very annoying.

Being a municipal course your expectations are always lowered. The course itself is maintained relatively well. Tee boxes are cut, rough and fairway are different, sand is raked. Fairways are cut down but certainly not plush. Greens roll very well. A few rough spots, overall I was impressed. Good speed. Many holes are surrounded by sand areas off in the rough that are hard to hit out of. So if you miss the fairway significantly, you'll be in some sand. Not a sand trap but just sand. It's on nearly every hole.
I found the layout fair with a good mix of difficult holes and easy holes.
Would play again. Had a good time!
