West Palm Beach Golf Course has hosted a variety of tournaments since opening in 1947, some that have included famous players such as Arnold Palmer. This historic course stands out from all of the area's public courses. Unlike Florida's many flat courses, West Palm Beach has an undulating terrain that provides interesting elevation changes. The course features elevated tees and greens and rarely is there a flat lie. The rolling hills are covered with native vegetation, palm trees, and mature pines and oaks. There is also no water to be found on the golf course, another rare occurrence in this area. In 2009, the course underwent a major renovation that made it environmentally friendly. There is also a full grass driving range and large practice area that overlook West Palm Beach Golf Course.

One can loose a lot of golf balls.
It's a fun course.A challenge to find your ball if you're not a straight hitter. The bunkers are deeper than what I'm used to.
I would play this course again & stay out of the bunkers next time. I feel like I'm playng in Arizona instead of West Palm Beach.
Course has seen better days. Vegetation rough replaced by expansive waste bunkers and sand traps.
Old traditional tour course was denuded of trees and bushes that state of Florida ordered removed. Now course looks "scalped". Longtime golfers have decried the "butcher job" done on the course. Greens & fairways have received minimal attention in recent years. A "bottom-half" state of condition for municipal courses. Inexpensive enough for its condition.
Classic muni venue.
Pros: Fast pace of play. Firm, dry conditions. Distinct, memorable routing of holes. Very low $.
Cons: Way too much sand. Unreadable greens.
Great Value
This is a unique course; no water, lots of sand and levation. The course is in fine condition and the more the wind blows, the harder this course will play.
