Windermere Country Club

Greens were in good condition and fairways were comparable to other courses played during the week (remember it's still early in the season). The ranger was good at keeping the pace of play on track (a must for us) and the staff were friendly. Although built partially through a residential development, houses are not that close for those in your group who are directionally challenged. Put on your list to play.

I'm a local and this will be the last time I play here. 5 1/2 hour round, stacked up three groups on tee boxes, it's hard to believe no one was on the course speeding up play.

Price was good and that's why it was packed, but won't be going back as the pace of play was unbelievable. Also, play was so slow that my cart died twice during our round.

Found an early tee time for a twosome under $40 w cart. The course was well maintained and challenging enough. Overall, good place to play.

Played Windemere for the first time on Monday. The staff was excellent, started on time, course was in good shape. The greens rolled true, and moderately fast. The pace of play was NOT GOOD.... we had a 3-some, and waited EVERY SHOT! There were several groups ahead of us as well, and they were waiting each shot also.... we only saw a Marshall once, but he didn't seem too concerned. Granted, it was a holiday Monday, and the course was busy, but having to wait every shot sure minimizes the enjoyment level. I would love to play the course again, but will try find a less busy day!

Great course in very good condition. Played Sinday morning and finished as a twosome in 3 1/2 hours.

Beautiful, well maintained course with a great staff. We played this course while on vacation in the Orlando area. Felt like I was at the beach on the front nine due to the number of bunkers that I has to play my way out of. Fastest greens that I have ever played. Not an extreme amount of undulation on the greens but still managed to 3-putt way too many time.

This is a very nice layout. A couple of the swamp holes were very wet but with the recent rain this was no big surprise. Staff is very friendly and you feel welcomed.

Greens received well and rolled pretty true. Would play this course over most in this price range. Played at 6750yds which was comportable for me. My wife is a high handicapper but had a fun on the forward tees.

We were able to play as a two some as rain was threatening. In fact, we got rained out at hole 4, went in the clubhouse and had lunch, then went back out and started again on hole 4. Course was nice with some long holes where you could hit away and some nice par 3s with water. Hole 9 has water before the green. The back nine is more challeninging the front nine, I think, with more water challenges. Greens needed a little work but were fairly smooth. Food was good in the clubhouse and everyone was very nice and glad we were there.

They decided to over seed the greens and not say anything about it. It looks like they can't afford water to make the course look healthy and over seeding the rest if the course was too much for them. Outside staff was too busy talking to take care of me when I walked up with my bag. Shop guy wasn't at his post when I walked in and made me wait. This is not a course that I would visit any time soon.

This course has some interesting/somewhat challenging but playable by anyone's caliber.

Course was beautiful. Conditions were a little wet in shady areas. Greens were firm and ran true.

Enough said. Members and foreigners need to learn to let folks play through. 4 and 5 somes everywhere ground things to a halt. Walked off after 9 holes. Not worth the discount to play.

I really like this course ! We try to play here a couple of times each year.. (Jan-Feb. ) This track is fair to the player who can remember the good landing zones.
The greens are FAST, but puttable.
I recommend this course to other folks we meet on other courses.

Course condition poor. Totally dried out. Add insult to injury, they can out of beer!

Played the course during the Merchandise show. Fun layout, challenging greens. Make sure you drive up 15 and 16 before teeing off to know what you have to do. Greens faster than they appear.

Staff was very friendly! Only my second round this year
so course was challenging. Expect to have a more enjoyable round next time now that I know the layout.
