Windermere Country Club

We have played this course many times and love it. It is just sad that due to financial troubles it is not being kept up as well anymore.

I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the course, especially fairways.
I have played the course several times and it is normally up to a good standard, however on this occasion it was not up to standard.
Very disappointed.

Course in good condition, greens very good, fairways patchy. Staff where very friendly & starter was very helpful. Cons, thought the price of range balls was expensive at 7 dollars. Lack of visable yardage markers was a slight problem. Some good testing holes of golf. Play this course if in the area.

I have played the course at Windermere Country Club several times and have always been delighted. The staff is exceptional and the course is in terrific condition. This is a must play course for anyone vacationing or living within a 25 mile radius. Kudos to Ben Swanson and the entire team at WCC. Terrific job!

You can tell this was a nice course at one time, but in the condition it is in I would not play there again.

Very fun layout that has some very challenging holes and some very easy. The greens are some of the best you can get for the price, fairways on the other hand are spotty. If you roll it in the fairway it is a very fun course. Staff was very friendly and pace was great.

Course was in great shape. Reading previous reviews prior to booking the tee time, I wasn't sure if we should play it. However, I am glad that we did. Course was in great shape. Occassional dry patches in fairways, however it is Florida. Florida heat will dry things out. Fairways were not hard. They played relatively soft, with reasonable roll when heating fairways from tee. Greens rolled nicely. Golf cart paths are concrete which makes for a nice smooth ride, along with smooth running golf carts. Could not ask for anything more from a course at their prices. Previous reviews are way too harsh. PLAY this course if you are in the Orlando area & looking to play.

This was our 4th course during our vacation and it exceeded the prior 3.... greens were good .... fairways sparse in areas.... some work being done at the time but nothing that interrupted our game. A few water hazards were not our friend but that was errors by us. Should come back to the course we will know in advance where certain hazards were.
NO one came out to hassel us about "pace of play"...
It is a course that is worth playing and coming back for.

It's the second time iv played this course always thought the layout is good but the condition this time was the worst we have played on our vacation it's no longer a top country club it's used be its fairways greens and tees are like a bad muni course very disappointed

Decided to try out Windermere Country Club while on vacation in Orlando FL. We were pleased that it stood up to the ratings represented here on GolfNow!. Started off behind a group of kids who quickly allowed us to play through. From that point on it was as if we had the entire course to ourselves.
If we are ever in the area again we will surely play this one again.

Growing up, my father brought me here all the time. I LOVE this course and it is always in good condition, obviously not when they are doing course maintenance but even then, they do a great job of getting the course back into playing shape. The course is short but makes you think, other than that it's a straightforward course that many players can score well on. I love the greens. They're quick when you catch them at the right time and hold most approaches. This is a good course for intermediate to advanced golfers. This is located in Windermere and surrounded by houses with nice views.

Although the 9th hole was chewed up a bit, the course itself is very nice. The greens played very well. Staff was friendly and they had our clubs and cart waiting. Would definitely play here again when back in FLA.

Course in good shape, including the greens. This was during the week so the course was not crowded. Staff in pro shop is friendly. Also, big improvement in service in the restaurant. Service was fast, important if you are on the turn, which I only do if the course is not crowded. Food was good. The only improvement I would suggest is to consider changing the tee pylons to be able to decipher the color of the pylons without having to stare them down. Specifically, the Golds are too similar to the Whites.

They either need to fire the lawmower guy or ask him to come to work. The only difference between the rough and the fairway was that the fairway had more grass. They greens had ridges cut ( I think it was for areation) so most puts were very very bouncy

Greens were good but a little bouncy. Seems like they were aerated about 2 weeks ago.

Course was not manicured and fairways and greens were deplorable. Course has fallen into disarray.

I'll be back to play again in a few weeks with friends

This golf course doesn't deserve the name country club!!! Fair way and rough have a lot of bald spots, we played here in 2011 it wasn't bad, now the whole course is so poor condition, the rough have so much weeds, it looked so abandoned. We wouldn't recommended to anyone to play there. It was a wasted of time !!!!
