About

Winter Park Pines Golf Club has offered one of the most affordable rounds in the greater Orlando area since first opening in 1968. The course has a traditional design that is ideal for beginners though it's also great if you're looking for a quick, casual round. The par-70 golf course may seem odd with a par-34 front nine and a par-36 back nine, but the layout manages to blend together seamlessly. The golf course has short par 4s and par 3s of varying lengths. There is one par 5 that measures 462 yards. The first half of the course is especially scenic with mature trees framing most of the holes. In addition to the golf course, Winter Park Pines also has a practice facility available. It features a driving range as well as putting and chipping greens with a bunker.

Terrible customer service and terrible conditions

Greens are in terrible condition, didn’t even putt during my round. Tee boxes are also in terrible condition. For the price of the course I would look elsewhere and spend $10 or even $20 more somewhere else that is in better shape. The lady at the front desk had a bad attitude as well. Showed up 10 min before my tee time while another group of people were checking in, took them 10 min to check in so when I made it to the front to cshe threw my credit card back on the table after swiping it and told me that the group I was playing with (I was a single) had already gone on to the course and I was going to have to wait for another group. My girlfriend had come along as well to watch so when she went in to the clubhouse to pay the Spectator fee she gave her a bad attitude and threw the card on the table after swiping it. I have played this course before but for what it’s worth it’s not in good shape and will not be returning there. There are plenty of other courses around the area that are in better conditions and will treat you like a valued customer.

Friendly staff great value

I arrived at the course just a few minutes before my tee time. The gentleman in the pro shop asked if I had any water. He went to the snack bar area and got two large ice waters. I tried to tip him and he wouldn’t take the money saying this is the service they like to provide. Very friendly snack bar attendant as well. It is amazing how kindness makes even bad weather seem great.

Good place to play but not as accommodating for GolfNow bookings

For the small amount you might save using GolfNow I do not like that if you want to play by yourself they automatically put you with a 4 some no matter what if you reserve or book through GolfNow. Almost like they're saying, "You paid a few bucks less so you don't get the same accommodations as if you paid the few bucks more." I'm not sure I like that. If I was paying a severe amount less okay I get it. You're saving maybe 4 bucks using GolfNow. Otherwise, it's a decent place to play.

Awful

I was the last group. Waited on every hole. At the end the worker approached me and started getting in my face arguing with me. He was very unfriendly and I would never recommend this course to anyone.
