Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Slowest Round Ever
Tee time at 10:37, and couldnt tee off til 11, which is typical for this course. We had to skip a group because they were so drunk, and the round still took 5 hours just to play 17 holes. The rate they charge is decent because they overbook the course every weekend.
Value
A lot of interesting holes for the average golfer. A local favorite. Enjoyed the course in May after the re-opening as the greens were fantastic. Never fast, but true.
Almost all of the greens now are spotted with Poa annua grass/weed which makes them unsightly. Overall, you can't beat the price.
Glad to be back in Florida
We are snowbirds. Last year was a challenge with 9 hole closure for new power poles and the old carts. Today; new carts, lots of work being done on the course and what looks like more opportunities for tournament play thru Monday 2-person and monthly 4-person scrambles, great to see. Course itself was in very good shape, #3 green is in rough shape with alot of weed grass, but rest of the course is very playable…
Decent speed on greens. Course is in good condition for the majority. Greens are rolling true
Good contours and layout… A must-play
Nice experience at fair price
