About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

I was hoping to get paired up with someone else. Didn't happen. No starter.
Always a great value
First Green was in horrible shape. The rest of the greens and tee boxes were in very good shape. Some bare spots on the fairways but understandable due to hot, dry condiitions. Coing monsoon and hurricane season should help.
Really slow pace of play. Needs a ranger to move play along.
Very slow pace of play had three groups stacked up and waiting for entire back nine. A ranger would definitely help to move pace of play along.
Fun times here
All in all the course is in fairly good condition considering the drought conditions we're in. Some of the water traps were dried up totally. I seem to find those a lot. Always a great time here.
Good day at the golf course
Enjoyable course to play. Fairly short holes. Fairways and greens are okay with a few dry spots in certain areas. Quite okay considering the fact that we haven't had rain almost a month. Enjoy yourself at this course
Golf with my best friend
We play here every week and are always pleased with the effort the grounds crew puts in on keeping course in good shape even though the weather has been very dry lately.
The staff is very friendly and courteous. The starter was very friendly as well. Always enjoy hearing “Play Well & have fun”

Beautiful greens and fairways !
Definitely would love to play during the week. Saturday was a little fast for me. I haven’t played in sometime. But all the lies were great. Staff was really great and they were really friendly. Greens were the nicest I have seen in the last few months skipping around. Will be playing again soon !
Carts need to be replaced
This is a good course.
The fairways are starting to show stress from the heat and dry weather.
Golf carts are in poor condition.
Dry conditions
Considering the lack of rain the course is in good condition. Had a very pleasant round with my best friend. “We’ll be back”
Great course
This course has some challenging holes and was in nice shape when I was there. Just be aware that the crows will go in your golf cart and take your snacks. Lol

nice layout
Great layout but very typical of all the Polk county courses....too often courses go thru ownership changes and it leaves new owners with a lot of weeds and different conditions to deal with ...not fair...just the way it is. It's such a nice layout and most of the greens were good and that's the main thing....keep; the greens good...only #1 was really bad. Love the course, just please keep it going in the right direction!!
