Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Good greens
Happily surprised with the condition of the greens. Other local courses have issues, but Silverado was in very good shape. The fairways and rough Are still very dry from the lack of rain. Overall of coursewas a good shape.
Staff doing a great job!
I haven’t been out to Silverado in over a year. I was very very pleased with the condition of the course. The greens were in the best shape that I have seen them fairways were nice and lush and the staff is also very friendly. Greenskeepers should be commended for the job they are doing on the course. I will definitely be back.
fairways are showing signs of crab grass or weeds in a lot of places greens were good.
Ok golf
Short course. Green's excellent but a little bit slow. Not a real challenging course if you're a decent player. Enjoyable round of golf.
Rain Man
Course was challenging just a little thin in some fairways and some sand traps needed some work. Overall we had a great round fighting the wind.
Ummmm Ok
We could not understand why all the water sprinklers were on when we started play this morning. They were on to the point where some of the holes were flooded with water. Really could not understand that. The greens were very clean and very, very, very slow. Other wise a good round of golf
Course layout is rough. Driving Range is scary
Hole 1’s fairway is part of the driving range landing area?! Hole 3 has power lines right in your ball flight off the tee box. (Yes, I hit the lines). Same hole also has No. 5 tee box in play , if you miss right. (Be careful). Greens looked good but were very slow by Florida standards. (Reminded me of winter golf in D.C). Hole 10 is a par 4 from the back tees and a par 3 from the men’s tee?! Felt gimmicky. Maybe I just expected more from a course that is rated 4 stars on GolfNow? Carts and cart paths were average at best.
Great shape except for several bare spots and very tight lies on some fairways. Greens and approach areas were excellent. Golf carts need to be upgraded. They are dirty and slow. Seem worn out. Other than that it is always a great experience.
Ok course
The course was in ok condition. No holes were must play again. No putting green. Range close to 1st hole fairway. Greens were good, fairways lack grass.
Played back tees... it was a tougher test with the course layout in full effect
Greens were a tad faster which is nice
