Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Interesting
Only played a couple time here in Florida so courses are not what I am used to in southern Ontario wherevfairwayscand greenscarevflawless. But overall for Florida grass I was pleasently surprised with the course. Will play again for sure.
Silverado - Work In Process
Nice course, and an enjoyable layout. You have to become familiar with it as there are several hazards that criss-cross the fairways, and you won’t know they are coming up until you have already hit into them.
There is some construction work, going on next to several holes, and even some relayout work being done on a few holes. So my reservation in giving it a higher rating was the noise of construction truck backup warning signals, and redirected golf cart paths that go nowhere. In general, the cart paths could use some maintenance. But focusing on the golf itself, it is an enjoyable round of golf for the value.
Staff in the Pro Shop and especially the restaurant / bar where very friendly, and polite when we had a few questions. Great staff all around.
Honest Review
Only cost $20 to play BUT fairways were really soft and were a little rough....greens had weeds on them - not acceptable- no way you should have to putt over a weed for a par!
Some construction on the course meant a few holes were shortened/redirected. My group would not play it again UNLESS we got at deal
No course marshals
They allow groups of 5 and the group of 5 in front of us from hole 4 on did not allow us to play through. Totally took the pleasure out of the game!
Foggy with a chance of heavy machinery
Early start so foggy couldn't see more than 100 yards. They are building houses and infrastructure for the neighborhood so if you don't mind the noise and the coursing. Overall was a good round.
Good Value
Good value for a nice round of golf! Not a premium course, but for the average golfer is just fine!
Fun round
Course is in great shape for this time of year. Greens still a little slow however rolled nicely. Layout is fun with a few challenging holes that make you think about club selection. Always a fun round here.
Good Round
This is the kind of course where you benefit from the first round. It’s kinda of a quirky layout but most of the holes are right in front of you. I liked my round and look forward to making better decisions off the tee next time I play.
Outstanding gulf outing
The courses are really good shape enjoyed playing there despite their construction near the course.
Best round in Zephyrhills
From the check in to the beer at the end its always enjoyable here. Oh and the $2 bloody Mary helps get the first hole off to a great start.
