Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Course conditions and pace of play.
We thought the fairways on the front nine were lacking grass. Back fairways were better. Pace of the was very good on the front. Started to slow down on hole 8. Play was very slow on the back. The group ahead of us was waiting to tee off when we got to the tee box on every hole on the back. Don’t know why it suddenly got backed up.
4 sum
I started with a GolfNow 3 some at 940am. Finished at about 145pm. Greens rolling true. Fairways and tee boxes great. I did find the sand once and I noticed bunkers are drying out and have some sand. Cart girl was present and on point. Thanks, Nuge.
Great shape
The course is in fantastic shape. Greens fairways and sand traps are in great shape. You will enjoy your round.
Where's the grass?
The cart paths are in bad shape and there is very little grass on the majority of the fairways. The greens were in nice shape and there are some challenging holes. It's a fun course to play and will play again.
Course is in great condition!
Beautiful course always in immaculate condition. Greens a bit slow. But great layout with great staff and a great overall course!!
Great course with many updates
Come check this course out....great value and the course is fun but challenging at the same time. Many updates such as the new putting green, new tee box and course is in really good condition.
the course was in good shape except for the sand traps, they were like hard as rocks.
Fun course to play
Always a fun time playing here course has some challenging hole for everyone
Should have closed the course
We understood it had rained alot the last 3 days. But when you cant walk on the fairway because its so soaked and it is currently raining you should close and refund. We paid for 18 holes , played 7 and didnt even ask for a refund because we wouldnt return. 300 rounds booked on GN and we were bamboozled on this course.
Great course
This is a great place to play golf, has friendly staff. Good food and love the layout. Challenging but fun!
Great work on Fairways & Tee Boxes
Silverado has done a great job tending the tee boxes, fairways and greens. This enhances the importance of accuracy and shot making. The trees and natural terrain make for a fun experience.
Very Accomodating
I booked a 7:22 and had car troubles and ends up being about 10 minutes late. Fortunately they still put me out ASAP but unfortunately I was stuck at the tail end of a men’s league. The final group was a threesome so after a few holes of waiting I had asked to join them and to my surprise they obliged. I ended up finishing the round with them and had a great time. You’ll meet very good people out here
Improving every time I go.
Course improvement are ongoing.and looks like money is being spent to improve course. Will be back.
Good Layout but at It's Best Condition
I've seen this course in better condition but it's likely due to wet weather. Had quite a number of instances where mud was on the ball. Greens were pretty slow and didn't roll all that well. Greens are usually better here.
Do like the layout as it offers challenges without being impossible. Greens have breaks but not ridiculous. First time player shouldn't have trouble reading the greens. And we always seem to be able play under 4 hours...teed off at 11 and the weekend.
Will definitely be back soon.
Course is Nearby and Cost Effective
I play Silverado because it is a good value for a quick round. Course requires fairly good shot making and is usually fun to play.
My most recent visits I experienced subpar contact with staff in the pro shop. The staffer at the desk where I checked in was borderline rude with a terrible attitude - keep in mind I asked him for nothing. If I experience this type of service, rather lack there of, in the future I will not patronize this course again.
