David L. Baker Memorial Golf
About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

Great short course
Love the length of this course. They have a driving range, putting green, and restaurant.
All DONE HERE!!!
These are some of the worst greens around to put on . The course has balls flying in and out of your fairway constantly. This is hazardous golf with no upside . Plus the worst range anywhere. I am all done . What Willowick is to a full size course David L Baker is to an executive course. If you know, then you know . Good luck

Nice walk
I enjoyed this course as a place to work on my game. It isn't very long but offers the opportunity to sharpen approach shots and wedge game.
I got out early and had a good round with a great pace of play.
Highly recommend it as a place to fine tune areas you feel you need to improve upon.
Not worth the money
All tees were moved up that day I played, II guess, for field management, so a few holes were less than 75 yard long. It is already a short course with 10 par three holes and with shortened tee locations, it was no fun at all. I can understand it is necessary to do field management, but for us paying $69 for this short course was not worth at all.
Hi lfXFb5ZzuMwcin6cucxj, we appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns about the tee placements. Our goal is to maintain the course while providing a fun experience and we apologize for missing the mark on that. We’re always looking to improve and hope you’ll consider giving us another shot in the future.
Davd L Baker Golf Course
This course has always been a fun course for beginners, it's great if you want to work on your short game. A par 62 with tricky greens, you will do well do use putter off the greens here. There are a few areas under repair but for the most part this course was in decent shape. Great sunset rounds the lights really help after sundown. You can expect to wait for golf carts on the weekend. Normal round 4 hours 30 minutes.
Value Golf
Although the course was somewhat muddy in places, David L. Baker is an affordable option for a good round of golf. The greens need some work as many of them were bumpy and slow.
Staff was nice; people on the course not so much.
I don’t have a problem with the course or the staff. It’s the people playing on this course that I’m questionable about. The group behind us were complaining about our pace of play. We were keeping up with the group in front, but the people behind us were upset at us. This is a short course where a lot of beginners play. If they want to play fast why don’t they go to a bigger course like Mile Square or Meadowlark?
Good bang for your buck....for us older fellas
Don't want to struggle on the back nine cause you played 4000 yards and 50 strokes already? Play David Baker. I have a weak back and a full course is just a little too long. I like this place cause it's still 18 holes but shorter and you don't spend the whole day on the course. You can still pull the big dog out and try driving greens too. All good fun and good value in my book.
We appreciate your feedback and would love to see you play again!
