Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach is a player-friendly layout that is a popular choice amongst locals. Like most classically designed layouts, the course is short and tight but that also makes it easily walkable. The pin placements on the greens can be tricky and there are also some challenging water hazards that come into play on several holes. The golf course will test your short game skills but there are wide, player-friendly fairways that balance the trickier elements. Beware, though, numerous trees on the golf course make many of the tee shots tight and narrow. It is not an overly difficult layout but it is an enjoyable round that players of any skill level will enjoy. Meadowlark also offers affordable rates that make it doubly appealing.

Meadowlark fun times
Had a great time playing metal art. Interesting course, cause everybody says, oh, I think it’s very flat. It’s anything but flat. You go up and down couple different hills. Very playable though

Horrible pace of play. Had to wait 20min every hole. Avoid.
Thanks for taking time out of your day to leave a rating and condid review. While we struggle with pace of play like many courses in SoCal, we have marshals on the course daily to help keep groups moving that are slowing pace down. Unfortunately on some busy weekend days, the back-ups can get pretty bad. We hope you will find some time in your schedule to book another round with us, possibly during the week, when you can experience the course at a much faster pace.

Great staff, terrible conditions
Greens had a fungus on them and never rolled true. Fairways have tons of bare spots and divots. Even from the fairway I didnt have a good lie. The yardages are funky. I was hitting mid irons off par 4 tees. The staff was awesome! The food was actually really good lol. But I wouldn't golf here again based off the course conditions.
We are sorry to hear about your experience here at Meadowlark. While we have worked through some minor issues on our greens, we haven't had any fungus problems. We did verticut the greens in late June and plan to again this month which helps tremendously with the thatch that is produced with Poa greens. Happy to hear you enjoyed the food and your interactions with the staff and hope you will give us another chance in the future!
Help everyone play golf!
The course appears to be very worn for the first 30 yards getting the carts onto the grass and near the greens when you’re coming off. They also need to make sure that their bottles of sand or? Have material in them and that there are two on each cart which was in our case at all.

Great Affordable Public Course
The staff genuinely cares about your golf experience. The course is in a condition typical for public courses. The greens are excellent however and the tee boxes are rotated enough to not get too munched up. There are lots of trees, challenging water features, and some challenging par 5's. Many of the holes have significant elevation changes that make them very fun to play. I was paired with 2 walkers and the pace of play was great, on a sunny (not hot) Sunday afternoon we waited maybe 5min max on only a couple of holes. The other players were very conscientious about playing ready golf and exhibiting good sportsmanship. Only people who need a game to cost a lot & have immaculately manicured perfect greens on every hole to enjoy a round of golf would dislike this course.
Meadow Lark golf course
Decent small municipal style course. Last minute tee time setup and had to start at 6:40 am. No driving range before 7am was kind of a bummer but course was in pretty good condition. Few patchy spots ina couple of fairways .

Greens good but afternoon play is not as smooth as in the am.

$87 is definitely not worth it for this course
Don’t waste your time. This should be a $50 course at best. $87 is way too much for dirt patches on fairways.
We are sorry to hear your experience didn't match your expectations for our course. We are working to get better everyday and recently just aerified our fairways and tee boxes which should help with some of the patchy areas. We hope you'll give us another shot in the future!
