David L. Baker Memorial Golf
About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

long day
The course was in good shape for the amount of play that it gets. The frustration was having to wait on every tee box. There were 2-3 groups waiting. That makes it difficult to get into a rythmn and enjoy the round. several golfers if front of us left with 3-4 holes to play.
a good rate
this course is fun for a short one, and a good value for getting in 18 with a cart quickly. The bar was drastically understaffed but cart path service was always present. Recommended
This course is one of the best deals in O.C.
The maintenance is immaculate. Restaurant & bar are good for a public course. Staff is friendly & efficient. I am a beginner & find this course to be good for me to play because it"s flat & the fairways are wide. It would be enjoyable for any level of play; not a slam dunk for even the experienced.
This is a great executive course.
The staff here is terrific! The overall course is well kept for and executive course. Our family enjoys Sunday afternoons here with our daughters. Very reasonable!
Fun course
The course is I. Great shape and is a good value, we payed 15.00 each for the round. Its a pretty easy course, a lot of fun to play and a good place to practice your short game.
Great course for the money.
They started us off on the 10th, my guess is so they can move the pin locations. A couple of the "new" locations were very challenging as opposed to the old ones. It appeared there were some local high school kids taking classes around the course but it wasn't overwhelming or out of control. It was nice to see youths getting into the sport and learning how to control the ball.
Great course
Everything was great with the course
only issue was i had a 6 am tee time and suprisingly there were like 16 people that showed up there without tee times.
We had to come back to the 1st hole because the other 2 some they put us with started while we were paying. we got caught at the tail end of the line even though we had a 1st thing tee time
Over booked course second time in a row we quit play after 9 holes (3hours) every hole was stacked 2-3 deep. Very bad golf experience..

Relatively easy course (par 4s all under 320 yds).
The course was relatively well maintained with most holes playing forward of the markers. Too many ducks on the course and unfortunately one was hit by the group in front of us and did not make it which made for a bad experience to the day. Otherwise the course was playing fairly easy with low scoring opportunities.
This is my home course. What else can I say?
It's a good practice for the experienced golfer. Challenging for the intermediate golfer. Plenty of water, sand and challenging greens.
Great Executive par 62 course.
Usually in really good shape. This last time though they were overseeding but it was still fun.
great course to practice shor game
This course is an excellent choice for practicing the shor game. Also has lights for nighttime play.
Short game practice
Tee boxes being re-seeded and all tees moved forward. Longest par 4 was 225 yards, shorted par 3 was 57 yards. Fairways also being re-conditioned, cart access restricted. Greens in good shape, kinda slow and as bumpy as usual. But at $13 a great value and good short game practice round.
Going thru some turnover & management seems very disorganized. All the tee boxes were moved up to the ladies tee boxes
Very disorganized & course was run down. They were doing great a couple of months ago…oh well
very short course
Good course to practice your short game greens in good shape not much of a challenge but still fun
Good course and usually quick play
Very nice course and fun to play. Good course to use all of you clubs!
Fun to play at night!
Fun course, night lit, nice course. Playing at night forced focus and straight shots.
The course is fun and great for the money but they should tell you the greens are plugged and they had 4 temporary greens with no yardage markings!
See above!

This course has great features.
I would recommend this course to friends because it is challenging and staff are friendly.
Nice 18-hole Course for Beginners
This is a good course for beginners. It is a smattering of par 3 and par 4 holes, which allows you to use many different types of clubs off the tee. There are a lot of holes that will be positive and gratifying, instead of frustrating. I had a blast playing these 18-holes, and it went pretty quick.
