CART PATH ONLY!!!
This is course is nice but it is so completely frustrating that its cart path only, the entire course. Makes for a long day. Our game took 6+ hours, with groups backed up in front of us and the Marshall telling us to speed it up. Made no sense at all.

Fun course
Good shape and fairways were in good shape. Greens just punched in past week so a bit slow and bumpy. Short course and didn’t need much after drives for approach shots. Staff was friendly and drinks/food were good. Can tell new owners are putting work in to make a great spot. Will play again

Gave it another shot, managed to be even worse
I played this course several months ago and didn't enjoy the round at all. The management seemed to want to take feedback seriously, even though they were condescending in my last review so I regrettably gave it another shot.
This experience managed to be worse.
At my arrival virtually everything went wrong until my tee time. When I showed up there was no parking. I had to wait 10 minutes to find a spot. When checking in I was informed that there would be no carts for a long time with no prior notice. This delayed my mid day tee time 35 mins. This course is not easily walkable and if people walk, it cripples pace. Since now I had time to kill I figured I would get range balls. They charge an absurd price ($8 for 40 balls or something) and it is irons only. But the range machine ran out of balls! So things were already a disaster before I even hit the course.
I finally got out and the course is in good shape but nothing exceptional. Once again it was still cart path only due to "renovations". I didn't see a notable difference from months before, outside of green fringes being a little nicer and they had punched the greens without any notice which made balls roll slow and bumpy. They leave the rough at tour length in many spots and have horrible weeds just outside the rough that are automatic lost balls. In some cases it was worse than harding before they hosted the PGA championship. You would think with cart path only they could mow the grass to a reasonable level. Also due to the cart path rule combined with the layout it also makes pace slow because you often have to walk up sloped fairways to get your ball. Overall the course is mostly a niceish muni course with some minor elements of a nicer course. Nothing that remotely warrants their rack rate for rounds.
They call themselves a "premiere silicon valley destination." The only things premier about this course are the carts and the view of the bay. Nothing about the golf experience is premier. I only plan on returning if it was free. This place is clearly more concerned with removing people from their money than providing a good golf experience.

A great coat of paint
Having played it for over 15 years, I remember when it opened...I have seen it at its worst.
The new owners are definitely moving it the right direction...The first look from the clubhouse, it was an amazing transformation with the course looking amazing. The desk guy was ok in friendliness, the cart girl was super helpful and great customer service. The beverage girl was awesomeness.
The cart was super comfy and new tho the USB charger did not work, GPS was spot on.
The course has drastically improved but has at least 2 full seasons to be back to where it was when it opened originally. I see the potential!!!!
Pace of play was OK with not a Marshall in sight.
It will be awhile till I am back at the rates you are asking for.

Bay View still Same old Summitpointe
The greens were updated and new carts other than that it's still the old Summitpointe, Crappy Tee boxes same old fairways. They do have a grass driving range that can only be used on the Weekends, how backwards is that. They said during the week you have to hit from the matts. They have a chipping area that says members only, but it wasn't busy and they didn't say anything when I used it. Still the same putting green area. Bottom line, it is still the same old Summitpointe with new greens and better golf carts, still crappy tee boxes and ok fairways
One more thing to add, I never saw a marshal on the course. So there was no one to move the slow players and the 5 some and 6 some that somehow developed, I could not believe there was a 5 some in front of the 2 some in front of me and the 2 some did not want anyone playing with them, there were other groups of 2 that were playing by themselves. There needs to be some control out there.

Path is terrible, weekend should ask all people with cart 。cart is not enough due to pace too slow. Extremely slow

Bay view in winter
Was expecting better course conditions, but realize still Under renovations, was disappointed with GPS not allowing carts on the fairways. Prior notice needs to be sent out if play is cart path only.

Fun quirky course tough fast greens

No carts, huge back up
We arrived to a huge back up due to the wait for carts. In the meantime, several people walking had tee times that were moved up, delaying us even further. Started over an hour late and back ups on every hole. Despite the dry weather, carts were not allowed on the fairways, increasing the time of play.
We were just able to finish before dark, in spite of an 11:20 tee time.
The wind was so horrendous that balls on the greens moved yards away from the hole if they did not go in immediately. First time back since the renovation. The greens and fairways were much improved.
